Motorheadbangers Everywhere!!

The t-shirts should ship this week. I really appreciate all of the patience and support you have all shown. For the new people on the list, check out http://www.imotorhead.com/tshirt.htm. Remember, the shirt is fully endorsed by the band, making it an official product!!

As the previous rumours have implied, it looks like Motorhead will be touring the United States again in October. I have no dates yet, but as soon as I do, you will get them. The great news is that they will be touring with a great up-and-coming band, Nashville Pussy! A great double bill if I do say so myself! And, yours truly will make ever effort to catch as many shows as possible. I'll keep you posted!

Well, it looks like the highly successful Make 'Em Deaf Forever internet tribute will probably find it's way onto CD. I am planning to make this a VERY limited edition of 500. Each CD will be numbered out of 500. Once their gone, their gone. There are some awesome covers of classic Motorhead tracks on this offering, including a track by long time Motorhead friends
Skew Siskin. I am awaiting final approval from the band's management for the release of this disc. The current plan is to offer it on the internet only. Destined to be one of the rarest Motorhead offerings ever!

I'm writiting for the first time, but i must say things about this. You all know that the Bulgarians have a pirat CD market. So i recently bought a copy (cover contains only front and back of the original cover) of the "Everything Louder...". As you all know the normal CD is a double CD. Bulgarians made it an ONE (1) CD and put only 18 tracks on it. So, i think that is gonna be rare (because they only print about 2000 copies of each CD they pirate), and if someone are interested in getting this version of "Everything...." please contact me on my mail address.
P.S. Also I got a bootle CD on CD-Rom when Motorhead are playing in Belgrade (Serbia) in 1990. I can make a copy to all interested in that. CD's running time is about an hour (only missing thing is encore) with four page booklet. We can make exchange if you're interested Born To Win, Out to lunch...'till next time Cheers to everyone

Hi Ace-

Just so you don't think your work is for nothing, I too read your account of touring with Motorhead. I really enjoyed the inside scoop. Especially enlightening was the difficulties associated with getting the equipment and crew from one show to the next. We as fans take it for granted that everything will magically appear ready to go at showtime, not realizing that the group on tour has to deal with real people (customs, promotoers, security, etc..)to make it happen. I also never realized how much the Band strives to give autographs, photo ops, interviews, etc... Next time I go to a show, I hope I have time (and energy) to hang out and meet the guys associated with Motorhead. It must have been tough for you to turn and go home, after 5 days on the road with the band. I wish you and all the OS readers the best, and hope we can all get to see at least 1 Motorhead show this year.
John Nicholson

Come on Guv, 'ow long we gotta wait?!?!?

**Ace: You'll have to wait until it is done. The big barriers here are the red tape with lisencing, etc. It's not as easy as you may think. It will be there when it is there.

Hi all MHeadbangers out there!
I read in a Spanish mag an interview with Phil Campbell in which he said that he couldn't hear his guitar because of Lemmy's bass! That situation ended when Phil bought a special distorting device. This is my humble tribute to the best bassist in the world: Mr. Lemmy Kilmister!

To reply to Ricardo from Sao paulo- I have the Motorhead "Motorhead" album, too, from Sept. , 1977, but in the collectors book, the one you are referring to WIK2 #43, the original was on White vinyl. So if I am not mistaken, the black vinyl, which is CWK 3008, is a repress of the original. But mine has the picture sleeve , which handwritten notes on one side, and "Keep Us on the Road " is spelled right. Sounds like maybe you got a record with the wrong sleeve put in it ( or I got the right sleeve, and the wrong color vinyl-Yaffa

Hi Folks. I'll spout my usual drivel and then get to the point:

>The Motorheadbangers site has two excellent screensavers and wallpaper - thanks to Oliver...

Ta very much. If you or anyone else wants any custom screensavers made I may be able to oblige- send me the graphics in jpg form (zipped up) and tell me what sounds you want and I'll do it.

>Personally, I have an option running of organizing a Motorhead 50-Year Celebration Party on July 20, 2025 ...

I'm up for that, but I'll be 46 and Lem will be a sprightly 79. I bet he'll still play a mean bass guitar though.......

>I don't know if you ever heard about this video but there is one who is called : " The best of Motrhead " by Castle Music >Pictures . Produced and Directed by Keef .

I hate to break the news to you but if you look closely at that video you'll find the tracks are rather clumsily dubbed on from the studio versions. The best vid around is still "The Birthday Party" which dates from '85, but 1990's "Everything Louder Than Everything Else" is also not bad (shot in black and white, for some reason-very arty) Also Motorhead Live 82 in Toronto is quite good.

Those are the main ones I know, but I am looking for any others, particularly any actual single videos eg KBD and AOS. Anyone got them?

>I have in my hands a vinyl copy of the "Motorhead" album (1977), but it seems different from the one listed on the "Detox" >discography http://www.openface.ca/~prh/motorhead/discography2.html At first, it's not WIK2 but CWK 3008. It has the "Keep >us on the road" title printed correctly (the original was misprinted "Keepers on the road"). And it has photo credits but no >photos, and (this copy) no inner sleve. It was made in Great Britain. One thing I know: it's not the original pressing. Could >someone please give me information on the features of the original one?

The original pressing will be nigh on impossible to find on vinyl- I have trawled many second hand record shops with no luck. You have the vinyl rerelease. I know the CD rerelease listed at http://freespace.virgin.net/oliver.cornfield/Information/InfMotorhead.html
is an exact replica of the original vinyl sleeve, photos and all. You could try Oliver Kampf as listed in the last OS, but go to his net site as his ADDRESS HAS CHANGED.

>Hey all, I recently picked up the new release "Live Lowd and Lewd" It's a pretty good cd. It's a live album recorded around >the time of the "Motorhead" CD with Fast Eddie and Philthy in the band. The track listing is as follows:

Let me guess- another rerelease of the Receiver recordings.... WHYOWHYOWHYOWHY o why do they have to keep doing this. I have an irrational desire to own all these recordings just for the different covers. I've got 4 different copies of "Lock Up Your Daughters" which I don't even like much anyway.

*****************NOW I'LL GET TO THE POINT********************

I have just shelled out an obscene amount of money for a state of the art Hi Fi. It's great and all my Motorhead albums sound fantastic. Except for one. Another Perfect Day sounds pretty dire. The original album was a harsh and trebly sort of album, which I really liked as it showed off brian's crisp guitar work. In the Essential rerelease on CD they artificially beefed up the bass which I'll never forgive them for. Whilst this was tolerable on my old system it sounds unbearable now. Does anyone have a prererelease copy (I just made that up, didn't I?) that they would like to exchange for the rerelease? I am thinking particularly of one of the Roadrunner releases (or any other) with "Turn you round again" as a bonus track. I can promise you that the new copy is not that bad, in fact you probably won't hear a difference. If you aren't totally satisfied you can swap back 'cos I can copy the album with my CDRW. Alternatively if anyone in GB could lend me their copy......

I would be eternally grateful for any help I receive and a free gift would not be out of the question.........

Thanks for all your help and support, MHB's and fans everywhere.

I've been a Motorhead fan, listening on a DAILY basis, since 1987 when I saw them live in Norfolk, England. Believe it or not, I currently make my living as an Assistant Professor of Art and have recently launched a web-site featuring my own artwork.

Additionally, the website is a showcase for a film project currently in development which I co-wrote with my brother-in-law Caleb Emerson, a filmmaker and also a mega-'head fanatic. The film is entitled DIE YOU ZOMBIE BASTARDS! and it will be the first EVER serial killer superhero rock'n'roll zombie road movie. We have acompleted script and a preliminary budget and are currently looking for investors.

A short prequel has been purchased by TROMA films (who included Lemmy in Tromeo And Juliet and in the upcoming Terror Firmer) and DYZB! features a role written for/inspired by Mr. Kilmister.

Hi to all of the motorhead headbangers. I am a fan from Greece and I was wondering ifLemmy is planning a new tour in my country. Last November Motorhead had three dates in Greece, one in Salonica and two in Athens, and of course I didn't lose my God. Outside Rodon Club about 5000 people were waiting for the loudest band ever on earth. After watching the support group around 9:30a.m. Motorhead jumped on to the stage with the Ace of Spades. For about two hours our ears were bleeding. The track list was great. After the show Lemmy and his gang drunk thwmselves out to the famous heavy metal club the "Wizzard of Oz". Hope to see again these monsters of Rock.

Im a fan from downunder and would love to see motorhead live on stage. As Im only 18 I cant afford to go overseas to see the great ones, but believe me I would if I had the dosh. Ive only been into motorhead for a year now, ever since Metallica released Garage Inc. I thought it sounded good here but was totally blown away when I picked up No Remorse at a second hand joint. I think they are they heaviest, loudest, and meanest band on the planet, and Lemmy, if you reading this, COME TO OZ!

> I heard that Lemmy did an AC/DC cover with a band called ANIMAL. Anybody knows if it's true?

As far as I know, Lemmy did a cover of 'It's A long Way To The Top' on the album called "Thunderbolt - Tribute To AC/DC", it was issued in USA by DeRock Records, in Japan - by DML Music Entertainment ( cat. #:DMCR-25026, Japanese CD has one bonus track), here's the line-up for 'IALWTTT': Vocal: Lemmy Kilmister Guitar: Jake E Lee Bass: Lemmy Kilmister & Ricky Philips Drums: Simon Wright Rhythm Guitar: Lemmy Kilmister & James Morley All I can say - it's a very cool album, lots of exellent musicians took part in this project. As for that Argentinian band - the right name is a little bit different - it's called A.N.I.M.A.L.,they're playing in the vein of Pantera/Biohazard - a modern pseudo-thrash, but much more variant than the shit that I compared A.N.I.M.A.L. to. As far as I know, their albums were never released out of Argentina, and a couple of them were produced by Max Cavalera, unfortunately I know nothing about them hanging out with Lemmy, but I think that Max Cavalera could teach them to play not the AC/DC but 'Orgasmatron' !
By the way,I went to the Soulfly gig three months ago, when they played in Moscow, and among covers that they played on the show was 'Orgasmatron' ! I was killed when I heard the first chords, they played it exellent,so if they will play in your city, you'll have an opportunity to hear at least one MOTORHEAD song live!
OK,that's all from me,

Hey Ace -

What's up with Fast Eddie Clarke? Does he have a website I can visit and send a message? Is he still making music? His solo album "It Ain't Over Till It's Over" was amazing but that came out like 4 years ago. There's a very cool guest appearance by Lemmy on a song called "Laugh At The Devil" - it sounds like something off of the "Bomber" album.

Anyway, just want Eddie to know that he still has fans out there and we want more music.
