Motorheadbangers Everywhere!!
I love reading the stories from the tour. Fans everywhere getting a taste of their
favorite band live and in color! I have begun posting my own tale of travel with the
band. I am offering it to OS subscribers as a sneak preview... it is not quite
complete, but the first few days are there... enjoy!
http://www.imotorhead.com/roadcrew.htm
Also, we are on the verge of our second anniversary for OS!! I would like to repeat last year's celebration with all
of you sending in your favorite Motorhread story. It can be the best show you saw, the best experience that you had
listening to an album, the time you meet them, anything! I have a couple of VERY special prizes to give-a-way in conjunction
with this celebration. Everyone that sends me a story will be included in the draw. Prizes include signed Motohead posters
and CDs as well as the actual strings that Phil Campbell used to play the concert in Vancouver, BC a coupla weeks ago.
He has signed the package as well! This is a piece of Motorhead history!! Send your emails to acetrump@bigfoot.com
and make sure that the subject reads "OS: Second Anniversary". I look forward to them!!

Plans for some kind of of reunion involving various people from early-70s Hawkwind lineups have been kicking around for some
time. In the last few years there were a couple of abortive attempts to get Lemmy at least together with the current Hawkwind
for one-offs, but the most recent statements from Brock imply that plans for a larger reunion tour are still going ahead (they
also mentioned Brock's recent US holiday and visit to Lemmy).
Still, given the chaos which reigns perennially in the HW camp, it'd take a small miracle for it to happen! But I think
it could be a fun gig to see it does. Damned if I know how Brock is going to handle having a bunch of loose cnnons like
Lemmy and (more pointedly) Nik around again ;) Nik has a habit of cheerfully playing until well after the plug is pulled
and this seems to freak out Brock, who appears to have become accustomed to a more controlled musical environment.
Should be _interesting_ if it happens :) I'll be there :)
Cheers,
Carl

First off Make 'em blind is the best song on Sacrifice, which is quite an accomplishment. The lyrics especially those
after the solo are brilliant. But you all probably already knew this. However today I notice yet another cool
thing about the song around the line "The bell that never rings" you can hear chains rattling in the background. God
Damn I love that song! By the by, does anyone know what the line is in "On Parole"-"I like a laugh, I like a joke, XXXXXXXXXXXXX,
my sense of humor's broke."? I went to buy the newest motorhead release{everything louder}- I got the oldest {Motorhead}.
A week later I tried again, but instead I ended up with No sleep till'... but I'm not complaining. Hopefully I'll buy
the new one soon and not get side tracked. I think Fast Eddie sings on the official release of "Beer drinkers and hell raisers".
He says something about porcupines. I want Motorhead in BOSTON!!! GRRR! That's all. Thanks Ace! If
Lemmy wasn't already you would be the man. He should adopt you. Torgo

Just had to lend my support to conrads thoughts, I have to say that I dont have much
sympathy for people who complain about not having a show right in their own city, surely
there must be somewhere close by where they are playing (closer than the other side of the
planet anyway). Maybe all the Australian MH fans should start a petition to get them out
here, after all in the last 3 years I've gotten to see the misfits tour here and the
damned which I never thought would happen. Anyone have any thoughts on the idea let me
know.
Bye all

The acod jazz version of Motorhead is by a band called Corduroy who covered
"Motorhead" on their 1994 album, "Out Of Here" which was released in
the UK on the Acid Jazz label.
I like it, but then I like Corduroy. I had some of their other stuff before they
covered "Motorhead".

This was a hot topic on the Hawkwind list a few months back. Hawkwind are working on a new concept album based on Mike
Butterworths "The Ledge Of Darkness". Dave Brock is trying to put together a Y2K special which would involve as many
ex-Hawkwinders as are still alive and still talking to Dave! The idea being to have one huge gig with all the HWers
dropping on on each others sets.
But it is still a long way down the line. Dave doesn't exactly rush anything these
days.

In the last few issues of OS I see alot of people pissed
off because of the lack of shows in New England. Well I don't blame them for not
coming. I've lived in Connecticut and Massachusetts for 30 years now. I've seen as
many Motorhead shows as possibe. The last time they came through the area (that I
heard about) was for the BASTARDS tour-which was a kick ass album- and I'll tell ya
there wasn't more than 200 people there. I was embarassed for the piss poor people
who wouldn't come out to see a legend in their midst. On the bright side, I was
right up front and was able to speak with the boys between songs (my ears rang for a
week easy), and even was able to speak with the band for a short while at the strip
club next door. I wish that Lemmy and the boys would swing into the area for a show,
but there just isn't enough people with brains in this area I guess-what a
shame. PK

I've known about the site. (approx. 4 mos) Do you have any idea as to when it will be up
and running?? Thnx for your time. Motorhead for Life!!
**Editor: Actually, I am in charge of the official website. The discography
was planned from the beginning and was actually programmed but never posted. I am
currently trying to get those files from my brother (who helped progam the site back

Subject: os: searching for motorhead disks
In response to Yaffa Elling's email on OS #64, regarding tracking down Motorhead disks,
rare, obscure, picture disks, etc:
Lemmy has appointed two Jedi knights to help his legions of fans find that recording
that's disappeared into the dark dimension of obscurity. Write to the following
people (best write to both of them to increase your chances) and tell them what you want
and stating which format (video, vinyl, CD or tape). Enclose a stamped-addressed
envelope for your reply if posting from within their countries, or enclose an
International Reply Coupon if writing from outside.
Mick Stevenson, 13 Plumpton Close, Luton LU2 8JU, United Kingdom.
&
Oliver Kampf, Marquardstr 8, 70184 Stuttgart, Germany.
As for the vinyl format of "Everything Louder...", I haven't seen one and I
don't know if one exists being that CD has now taken over. Again, Mick Stevenson and
Oliver Kampf will be able to give you a better answer on this.
Hope this is of help.

Hiyall,
First of all, you lucky, lucky Bastards! You mean there are people who get to SEE
Motorhead? And get the album releases on time?? I'm jealous, but I'm happy for you all.
People have been saying that it's hard to buy Motorhead t-shirts. What about t-shirt shops
that have catalogs of iron-on transfers, where you pick your choice, and they'll stamp it
onto a blank shirt within a minute? I've gotten 1916, Rock'n'Roll, Eat the Rich, and
Sacrifice t-shirts that way. All J. Petagno album covers. (The older transfers are out of
date now.) Plus, there always seem to be pre- stamped classic
Motorhead nyou-know-who England t-shirts available if you go looking for them. There
are also non-Petagno bullshit designs that are obvious, and I don't buy them.
I'm writing from New Zealand. The transfers are available here (and in Aussy). The rest of
the world has these t-shirt shops. Surely there are some transfers sitting in stock, no??
Someone said a few OS's ago that many/most/all Motorhead t-shirts you get outside of
concerts are bootlegs. Does this include the type of stuff I'm talking about, which is
straight off the album covers?? Is this a naive question to ask?
Thanks,
Vitus McD
MHB 452
**Editor: The answer is, I am not sure. The band has told me that there is
only one supplier of official merchandise and they have only been selling it at the
shows. This could be a throw back to older times for all I know, but my gut instinct
is that it is not official.

8-track items,posters,t-shirts from tours that goback to the BOMBER days. Lemmy

Well, apparently there was some real chaos at one of the shows (the Seattle on I think),
and a riot ensued, and Ken Casey challenged Motorhead to a fight, and so Dropkick are no
longer touring with Motorhead, but will be on the WARPED TOUR. Oh yes, and as for all your

*Editor: I was at this show and witnessed what you are talking about. What really
happened was that the security was WAY out of line and were treating the fans very
poorly... people where getting hurt. When the guys in Hatebreed was people getting
hurt, they put down their instruments and took issue with the security guys. Well,
being the assholes that they are, a fight ensued. I don;t know if you have ever seen
the guys in Hatebreed, but they can definitely handle themselves in a fight. The
whole thing went down in front of me and it took a while to calm things down. As a
result of this, Dropkick Murphys decided not to play their set that evening for several
reasons... (1) there had already been two bands that played, (2) the club could legally
hold about 550 people and had almost 1000, causing an explosive situation, (3) the
security was WAY out of hand (4) because of a lot of stage problems, they were only given
15 minutes... not worth it. The conflict was not between Motorhead and Dropkick or any
other band. It was with the security. Both bands travelled with us to Portland
the next day and put on killer shows! As far as I know, they are still on the
tour.... and great guys to boot!
