Motorheadbangers Of The World!

With the release of Everything Louder Than Everyone Else, the band will be hitting the road once again. There has been a steady theme in the posts over the past two years that people that populate this list would like a way to meet each other at the shows. I think that this is a capital idea and I want to create a forum for it.

I propose that I create a page on the website that is called "OSP" or Overnight Sensation Parties. Anyone that is going to a Motorhead show and would like to organize a get-together would send me an e-mail with the subject being "OSP:

As the tour dates become available, I will also have a section of the webpage for people that are travelling to shows so that maybe some of you MHBers can share rides if you need to go some distance to a show.

I think this could be a great deal of fun! I am trying to get approval from the band on the t-shirt idea. As soon as they give the go ahead, I will begin the process of making these happen. I do not think that it will come together soon enough for the North American shows, but I will try.

Let me know if you all think this is a good idea. Until next time....

Just a quick note to all those out there who pay top dollar for there T's...
There is one thing you have got to understand... an old, dirty, used and abused Motorhead T-shirt is what Motorhead is all about.

The T-shirt idea is excellent, naturally I would like to have one. Or two. Whose idea was to have it with front pocket? Front pocket? Oh shit, we are not talking about any fuckin awfull Bryan Adams T-shirts here, we are talking about Motrhead!

I would like to share some memories and thoughts of mine concerning the greatest band in the world - Motrhead.

ACT I (Kilmister-Clarke-Taylor)

It is year 1982 and I am 15 years old. A friend of mine bought iIron Fisti, I recorded it and listened the tape every morning before going to school untill the tape was so ruined that sound was almost completely faded. Especially song i(Don?t let eem) grind ya downi helped me to stand all the beatings and other annoyance during those bloody schooldays. Now it may seem stupid but I guess everyone has some song or other thing to hold on to when no-one helps you, you just got to go on and get mental strength from something. Later on I bought iNo sleep etill Hammersmithi and it was like some religional experience to me. The power and speed of those songs hit me like a thunder, I started to collect all Motrhead albums.

ACT II (Kilmister-Burston-Campbell-Gill)

1984: Motrhead is playing in Finland and in the middle of the set some guy starts to yell iIron Horsei. He had told me beforehand that it was his only purpose to see this band - to hear them play live iIron Horse - born to losei. Together we shout the name of this (beautifull in its rough way) song and Lemmy asks: iWhat? What song do you wanna hear?i iOK, Iron Horse!
Just for YOU!i and they play it. Just like that.

It is raining and Lemmy shows his great humorous side: iHere?s the slow one so you can do some nice things under your umbrellas. This one?s called Metropolis!i Or tries to keep straight face while singing iI know you ain?t got the brain, to come in out of the rain...i during iNo classi!

ACT III (Kilmister-Campbell-Dee)

1999: iEverything louder than everyone elsei. It is the best live album ever. I almost cry (!!!) when I listen iLost in the ozonei. Listen to the iBurneri and you can?t say that this band couldn?t play. Tony Iommi would be proud of the guitar riff in ithe chase...i Newer songs fit in together with the older ones so beautifully that you have to admit: This band does something very few bands dare or can do: They are getting even better year by year. Musically yes, but their attitude has allways been the same: to bring you to your knees. Thank you Motrhead and congratulations of making such great album.

Greetings again, all !

As long as everyone is throwing in his/her 2 cents (about 5 schillings to our UK counterparts), I agree with the high quality cotton shirt idea as well as XXL size for us tall/big people, but might I also suggest also an embroidered logo on the front chest, as some of us can't wear blazing logo t-shirts to work. Also, they look nicer ! Like many others, I've owned several rock band t-shirts over the years, but have long since stopped buying them at concerts due to the usually piss poor quality of the garments. I don't expect to be able to wear said shirts to a wedding or a funeral, but nobody wants to wear ratty clothing, especially one priced between $20 - $30. I can get all the rags I need to wax my car for free, thank you.

Anyhow, great new album, hope they come to my city, yahduh yahduh yahduh.

Peace, beer & loud music for all !

Hi all,
The new album still isn't out in France, I was told that there was problems with the distrubuteurs. I was lucky to hear it on import, but it was more expensive so I didn't buy it. The next day it (there was only 1 copy in Bordeaux!) disappeared. The first thing I noticed was the sound quality, How did they do it- It sounds so great. The sound is perfect (we did it the best that we could) I think the 'introductions' lemmy gives to the songs are dead funny, as is when the crowd goes: "Motorhead, Motorhead..." and lemmy replies: "we know!"

Hi gang, Ace,
Have there been offers from any record companies to put Make 'em Deaf Forever to disc? It was mentioned that a Motorhead tribute had been released already, well that's too fucking bad, our tribute is on the "OFFICIAL MOTORHEAD WEBSITE" therefore they should have used ours instead!! The "BASTARDS"........

PS EVERYTHING LOUDER THAN EVERYONE ELSE cranked with headphones...eyes closed.....YOU'RE THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey all you Motorheadbangers out there!

Just thought I'd tell you the obvious about the new album. KICKS ASS!! That's what I thought and I'm sure you all thought so too.

I'd like to thank Clammy, who in OS Issue #57, told me about eBay.com. I'd been having trouble finding Motorhead memorabilia here in Texas. I got a lot of cool stuff from that sight. Thanks again Clammy!

I admit I have never been to a Motorhead concert. I am probably one of the youngest Motorhead fans, only being a Sophomore in high school. I have never had a chance to go to a concert. When they hit the states tell them to come to Texas and play Dallas, San Antonio, or Austin, and you can bet your ass I'll be there.

No one's touched it in a while, but I found another Motorhead sighting. I was flicking through the channels the other day and caught an episode of 'Friends'. I don't watch it a lot, but when you don't have cable there's not a lot on. Anyway, Phoebe's brother was wearing a green Motorhead t - shirt. Just thought it was kind of interesting to see.

Lastly, about the OS t - shirt. Put a snaggletooth somewhere on it and I'll be happy.

Keep on rocking!

Yes, this is John. I would like to know if Motorhead will be playing any concerts in San Diego, CA this year? If they are, which concert venue and which adte will they be playing? Also, is Motorhead coming out with a new album or box set and what is the name of it? And, where can I find a Motorhead desktop theme on the web with a great background, videocursors/animated cursors, and sound files for all Windows events?

My copy of Everything Louder is different from the ones i've seen at the record shops. The two CD's are inside a cardboard box, the cover contains the booklet and a reproduction (perhaps) of an AAA pass about that concert. In case you need its number, is SPV 089-21140 DCD.
As far as i know wasn't printed a pass for that concert and, anyway:
1) It shows the cover of the Overnight Sensation album.
2) It's not back printed.
3) The date printed on says "25.5.1998 Docks Hamburg"...
Hey! But didn't they play there May 21st? Does anyone from Germany want to clear up?

For Motorhead live in Italy next June look at: http://www.rockanddogs.com calendario. Seems the band are scheduled for two gigs in Germany around June 17th-19th.

Hi all,

Is there any interest in setting up a Motorhead newsgroup on Usenet? The process is fairly straightforward, I proposed and created alt.music.rory-gallagher in December 1997.
alt.music.motorhead might be an interesting addition to this list, what do you think?

Love the new live album btw.
