Greetings fellow Motorheadbangers!First, I am very proud to announce that after only 6 weeks since we breathed life into OVERNIGHT SENSATION, our ranks have now swollen to over 200 people!! I want to thank everyone for their letters of support and thanks.... it means a lot!The only request I make of all of you is USE IT! The best way you can thank me is by dropping out of lurker mode and submit! We are all family here... tell us about yourself!

Well, it has been quite a week. As I mentioned last newsletter, I have moved into a new house and have spent much of the week unpacking. It is incredible what cool stuff you uncover when you go through this process, however. I'll leave the contents of my finds up to your imagination.

As I write this note, I have got Sacrifice screaming out in the background. I always feel it is necessary to slip on a Motorhead CD while compiling OS... sort of like a holyman preparing for the ritual... :-)

Well, back to news... the big news this week is the rumors that Lemmy will be playing a few dates in America with his former bandmates HAWKWIND. As of this writing I have not been able to get confirmation from Lemmy's management, but I do know that it is being talked about. What an event! More news as I get it!

There have been several very cool submissions to the 'Motorhead For Life' contest. I want to thank those of you that have entered. But, I know that there are more of you out there! Come on, don't be shy... I promise you won't regret entering.

Dear Ace,
Just coming back from holidays and my first 2 issues of OS waiting for me. Great!

I am very interested by the promo tape you offered. Is Mexico included in North America? Tell me how much it would cost, and I'll send you the money as soon.

Would it be possible to post a "want list" of Motorhead records I've been trying to find for years?

Best wishes,

Ronan Le Lagadec (MHB 311)

**Editor: At this time, I am restricting the offer to Canada and the 50 American States. I hope to have solid info by next week of the costs to mail these to other parts of the world to allow all of you to get the tape. Don't worry, they will give me as many as I need to get you all one!

As far as want lists, I do not see any harm in posting it to the OS list... maybe there are some other members that can help you out. I would only ask that you keep it down... I don't want the next issue of OS to only be an add for the MH stuff your missing ;-)

Dear Fellow Music Lovers and Motorheadbangers,
I received some rather interesting news from the Blue Oyster Cult / Hawkwind Mailing List the other day:
Now, I wonder if there's any truth in this? Does anybody know? Supposedly, Dave Brock (Hawkwind mastermind, vocals/guitar/keyb/synth) has confirmed this! I would greatly appreciate an answer!

Songs introduced with different names by Lemmy the Witty:
"The Face Is Better Than The Snatch - 'Cos It Doesn't Smell Of Fish"
"Dead Men Smell Toe Nails"
You know the real titles...

The forces of evil have united, the ground splits open with a deafening crack, and from its firey depths arises this email list dedicated to the meanest band ever! So its about time I've made my offering to this circle of Motorheadbangers...

I'm glad to have come across this email list where users contribute discussions about my favourite band. One thing I want to know though, how come a lot of subscribers who've already written here have got to meet or know Lemmy? Either they've partied with him, been part of his road crew, did an interview with him, etc. If there's one person I want to meet in life, it's the legend himself Lemmy. So how can I get to meet him?

I been to the last two London UK gigs (Sacrifice tour at the Forum and OS tour this year at London Astoria) and always wondered if there's some way I can meet the guy backstage, just for a photo or something so in years to come I can show it to my grandkids and surprise them.

So come on, how easy is it to meet the man? Where does he hang out after they do a London gig?

I've got my ticket to see them at the Brixton Academy this October and am really looking forward to it. Will they be changing the song list for this one or will it be the same as the one they did earlier this year at the Astoria? Astoria was a scream - I was front row and getting squashed and soaked in beer and other people's sweat and saliva! But who cares - Motorhead rocks!

Does Lemmy read this email list, seeing that he does read the "Lemmy Speaks" questions on his web page?

**Editor: OK... even before I was involved with Motorhead on the level I am now, I found it pretty easy to meet Lemmy. He has a great love for his fans. If you do not have backstage access, I can only recommend find the tour buses parked near the venue and plunk your ass down and wait. Eventually you are bound to run into him. If you do, I am sure he will accomidate you with the photo you seek.

I do not know if they are changing the set lists.

At this point, Lemmy does not read out mail list. He does not own a computer and therefore does not get this list. He does read the Lemmy Speaks stuff... I fax it over to him, he decides what questions he wished to answer and then we post them on the web for him. He has an amazing memory as well. I recently got to hang out with Lemmy for an afternoon (see www.nextlevel.com/today.htm) and we talked extensively about Lemmy Speaks. He could remember every questions and answer verbatim... purely from memory... amazing!

OVERNIGHT SENSATION is the most wicked album yet by the Head!!!!!!! Younger bands almost never kick up this kind of grit, and seldom with the sharp sharp lyrics Lemmy packs into each tune. If only Dylan wrote lyrics this good! Keep on bludgeoning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
