Hello All you Bangers!
New album news....
* The release date of Everything Louder Than Everyone Else has been pushed back to March
23/99. So the official release dates will be:
North America: March 23/99
Europe: March 22/99
The package will include an 8 page booklet and have lots of pictures.
*Lemmy has taken each song on the album and written a paragraph on his thoughts about the
track. Here is an example of what he wrote about Metropolis:
"Metropolis"
Here's another old warhorse. Been in the set since 1498! Gone now though, so
this could be your last chance to hear it live! Or not!
Some celebreties will also be including comments in the liner notes including the likes of
Dime Bag Darrell, Metallica, Bruce Dickinsen and Ron Jeremy. Here is a taste:
"All men like good head. President Clinton fell for Monika-head, but as for me,
I'll take Motorhead anyday."

Hello Motorheadbangers,
Just read my first issue of OS. It's just awesome that I have a place to discuss Motorhead with other people who have discovered
this, the purest form of Rock 'n' Roll music. God bless Lemmy! Just a few questions to start off with; what's all this about
a t-shirt design? Speaking of t-shirts, I had a shirt with the Iron Boar on the front and read Motorhead on top and England
on the bottom, but it fell apart from wear. Where can I find a new one? Lastly, for the questions, is there anyone here that
can help me on this, why has the album Bastards dissapeared? It's the only one I need to complete my collection of official
releases. Can anyone help me get a copy? Is it going to be rereleased? Oh Yeah, what's the name of the new Live album, and
can we expect a new studio album this year? Sorry about all the questions, but I'm very excited to be here. Looking forward
to discussing Lemmy with all of you.

Great work on the newsletter!!! I am so glad someone has finally created a forum for
the Greatest Band ever!! Just finished reading Lemmy's latest answers to questions asked
by the legions of fans ! The man has a great wit!!
Are you planning on updating the Motorhead for life contest pics?? Can't wait to see mine
up there! I think everyone should show their appreciation for the band by getting some ink
done in tribute!!
The T-shirt Idea is fucking great, I know here in Vancouver finding anything to do with
Motorhead is damn near impossible, so giving us a chance to spread the word so to speak of
the band by wearing something to show them what they are missing is cool!

Hi gang,
A friend of mine listened to "Make 'em Deaf Forever" for the first
time and told me about the (so called) tribute album that was mentioned in one of the last
issues of OS. He made the comment that there should only be one "OFFICIAL"
tribute album and the one on the "OFFICIAL" website should be the one!
Of course I couldn't agree more.....(grinning slyly) Hey Ace, didn't let LA spoil ya I
hope!

This is my contribution to the t-shirt design, it would be nice putting the classical snaggletooth in front, with the words
"motorhead", "OS" and another words like someone said "born to lose-live to win" or "keep us on the road", or "OS around the
world", or "OS-garmatron", or whatever... and in the back would be nice putting the name of each OS member as they were concert
places, you know, one list from top to bottom with all ours names... Of course the tshirt must be black (i think), and should
have printed on at least one motorhead symbol, as snaggletooth, or a big ace of spades, this is my idea, send yours too...
The man who could do the best design is Joe Petagno, ?Could someone
speak with him a tell about this bussines?. I think it wont be easy.

Sorry about the error on my last email, on OS #52. The Motorhead live feature on VH1
will be screened in the UK on 19th February, not in March as I'd put it wrongly. The
programme is "The Friday Rock Show" which starts at midnight. If anyone
records it and is able to send me a copy, I'll be most grateful since I'll be abroad at
the time the programme's being shown. Anyway, I hope this note gets out on time
before the programme's aired!
In response to Karl Turner's email about the "Take No Prisoners" double CD:
I picked up a copy for under 10 Pounds at HMV a couple of years ago and I was very
impressed with it. The sound quality is amazingly clear and many songs sound better
than on the remastered CD's. A lot of the tracks seem to be different mixes to what
you get on the albums and I found that the lyrics could be made out very easily.
Most of the tracks on the second CD seem to be demos.

Recently, an "ask Lemmy" question was posed to Him. It was enquired of Him
what drugs go well with Motorhead. He replied "all of 'em, except
heroin.", an excellent response, but hardly specific. This is an interesting
question. I used to think that Motorhead wasn't particularly marijuana-friendly, but upon
smoking a joint and listening to Sacrifice, i changed my mind. They are certainly alcohol
and speed-friendly. What other drugs? Physcedelics? I think this is a good topic, both for
reminescing, and debate. Let 'er rip, boys.

OK, the story goes like this...
2-3 days before the gigs, with almost all tickets already sold, someone from Motorhead Management called the local promoter(ANOSIS
S.A.) and announced cancellation of the shows due to financial reasons (the next station Turkey already had been cancelled)
and the promoter here had to offer some serious financial accommodations (after some tough negotiations) in order for the
shows to actually happen... I heard it from an ex-co-worker's wife who happens to work for ANOSIS S.A.
If the above aren't true i truely apologize (actually it would make me feel better), but
if they are for real, it's really sad for reasons that are too obvious to explain.
Note that we actually had a Motorhead cancellation 3 years ago (Motorhead were supposed to
play with Slayer,Blind Guardian,Rage and 1-2 greek bands). Most of the people found out
that the MH show fell through, the exact same day of the fest when they were arriving to
the gig. The reason for this cancellation, I personally, never found out... I'd like to
believe (to be honest i strongly do), that MH had nothing to with this then and now...
No, the shows took place at RODON Club but still it was an oven even with the remedial air
conditioning!!!
Absolutely brilliant both shows - we didn't expect anything less after all...
