Hello All you Bangers!
The hush before the storm. That is what it all feels like as I await the release of
Motorhead's latest disc. I hope to have more info for you soon.
In the meantime, I have been doing a weekly radio show on Blast called Blast Waves.
I would love for any of you to send me feedback. Check it out at http://www.blastmagazine.com

It has been awhile since I sent anything to OS, but I noticed a lack of contributions from
the readers and figured that I should send something to help fill the pages (and make this
project worth Ace's time. Thanks Ace!). I , like some other readers, was
unable to listen to the "Make 'Em Deaf Forever" songs on the Motorhead website
for awhile. I found out what the problem was, and more importantly, how to fix it.
I'm still fairly new on the computer so please restrain thyself with the hate mail.
My computer was using Real Player 3.0, so I ditched this and went to the Real Audio site (http://www.real.com) and downloaded the FREE version of Real
Player G2 and Whoa! All my problems are solved. All of these different Real
Audio links that kept giving me an "error" pop-up are suddenly working.
Amazing. Just make sure that you download the "free" version of G2.
The G2 "plus" version will cost you some moolah. The link to the download
should be in the vicinity of the top right corner of their home page. You'll also
find some neat connections to different TV, radio, and web broadcasts with this.
This may be really basic to some of you, but maybe someone can use it like I have.
And how about a new categorical question for all of the OS readers? What is your favorite
Motorhead cover on the "Make 'Em Deaf Forever" album? For me, though they are
all great and I appreciate everyone's musical tastes and contributions to this project,
I'll have to go with Revelation's "Built For Speed," and Brody's
"Motorhead."
I found it interesting that so many punk bands had picked up on Motorhead, as well as
metal bands. Lemmy has always called his a rock'n'roll band but this album
demonstrates how influential Motorhead has been to different genres of music. Heck,
I know a Police Chief that thinks Motorhead is the greatest band around. He's even
been to 3 Motorhead concerts!
Ace, I think that Motorhead owe it to every band on this album to get the first offer to
open for Motorhead whenever they are in their hometown (or anywhere nearby) for a concert.
I wouldn't think that it should be too big of a hassle to give the regular opening
act a night off once in awhile - aslong as Blackie Wankerless isn't involved!
Thanks for everything Ace and OS!
Jim
**Editor: Thanks so much for the kind words. It's fans like you that make all
of the work worthwhile. Have a great 1999!

Hi gang!
I just wanted to tell ALL of you (TRUE) Motorhead fans to really put some extra effort
into supporting the guys with this live album. I know it is gonna kick some major ass. So
tell everyone you know to buy it when it is released. When they do their next tour see to
it that everyone sees them live. Threaten them if you have to. Also tell them to visit the
official web site. MORE MEMBERS, MORE MEMBERS, MORE MEMBERS.
Rock on! Rube

OS: On "No Sleep at All", only 10 tracks are listed on the back of the album
even though there are actually 12 tracks included. Both Stay Clean and Metropolis
are played in their entirety but not listed on the album or in the liner notes. Ace,
do you or anyone else know why the band did this? It's rather unusual.
Any word on how the good publicity from Metallica is affecting Motorhead sales? I,
for one, have bought 2 Mercyful Fate albums simply because Metallica covered some of their
songs. Hopefully, Metallica's kind words will introduce some of its fans to
Motorhead.
Does anyone else notice how it's almost impossible to find anything older than 1916 in
record stores? I thought CMC International re-released all the older stuff not too
long ago.
I happen to catch Lemmy's cameo in the movie "Airheads" last night ("Lemmy
is God"). In the credits, he is listed as Lemmy Von Motorhead.

** Editor: Sorry, I don;t know the answer to your questions. I am working on

Is it just me, or does anyone else notice the inordinate number of Motorhead song titles found in the lyrics to songs from
1916? Titles from songs released before and after 1916. I'm not talking about one word in line, I mean the entire line or
phrases that aren't commonly used, although the entire line is occasionally one word. I'm not talking about the title of the
song it's in either (i.e. the phrase "Going to Brazil" in the song "Going to Brazil"). For the intro guy, you can't forget
the one at the start of "No Sleep at All" : "Are you ready for some Rock and Roll". The 50th issue is coming up, maybe
there should some special....something planned to celebrate.

**Editor: 50 issues! WOW! Does anyone know what we should do?

My favourite intro from Lemmy is: "we are motorhead, and we are going to ring your
fucking chimes!"
this was from the os tour in boston.
also, when i first saw motorhead on the second leg of the orgasmatron tour(had the flu on the first leg) he made a comment
about all the moshing and diving by saying: "you can do anything you want down there, that's your area. but if you come up
here, you are going to have to deal with fucking me!" some poor slobe got tossed on stage and reveived a boot in the ass by
lemmy. something you can tell your grandkids.
cheers ace, keep it up!
