Hello Ace,
Hello OS-maniacs,
"Frouwkje" frok.visser@wxs.nl informed us in Issue #38 about 2 concerts in the Netherlands on October 24th and 25th.
The two places may be quickly sold out, so if you can't get your tickets for the Netherlands, come to Belgium ! Motorhead will be playing on October 23th in Brussels ( Ancienne Belgique ).
For more informations about this concert : http://www.abconcerts.be
Keep rockin' !!!

I know that many must be throwing all kinds of suggestions your way, and please forgive me for do'n the same, but I think that there are are many fans and many who would be motorhead fans out there that end up missing shows (I would be speaking for the east coast US audience at the very least) cause they don't know that Lemy and the crew are play'n in their area. (I personally would take a few weeks off work to see motorhead play at various places in the area!!) It would be fabulous to have the newsletter begin with the current tour information (I know that it must be a son-of-a-bitch keeping track of that sort of information, but even if you can't officially annouce dates, perhaps someone in the vast 'viewing audience' might be able to contribute some sort of 'unofficial' tour information).

I just get the feeling from reading the responses/comments from everyone who participates in the OS newsletter that there are many folks who miss a motorhead show, simply cause they didn't hear about it before hand. I know that the promoters of the shows don't have alot of cash to be throwing into promotion, and the OS newsletter would be the perfect vehicle to promote gigs!!!!

Anyhow, please take these suggestions as just that - suggestions. I know that you are not getting rich from running this newsletter (although you should be). From a personal experience, I saw motorhead at the 9:30 club in Washington DC in 1997, it must have been October or November (OS tour) and they kick'd ass. The place was like a third full, perhpas half full, but it should have been packed. There are plenty of motorhead fans in the DC area - more than enough to fill the 9:30 Club anyways.

My girlfriend (at the time) came along to the show and had to stuff cigarett butts in her ears to cut down on the hearing loss. She bitched about how loud it was, but SHE loved the show. She stated that motorhead was one of
the best live acts she's ever seen. She had never even heard a single record!!!!

-Just a thought, but regaurdless keep up the fabulous work!!!!!

Snake bite Love rules, and perhaps one of the most underated albums - Rock-N-Roll rules as well!!!

**Editor: It is a constant battle for info like this, but I will see what I can do.

Greetings fellow Motorheadbangers !

Just got back from the record store and saw a brand new Motorhead album entitled MOTORHEAD TODAY. It has a picture of Lemmy, Phil & Mikkey on the front, with 10-12 tracks spanning their CMC International catalogue. Not really a greatest hits, more of a compilation, giving the less heard tracks a chance to be heard by someone other than us die-hards.
Also, I have 2 promotional posters I'd like to sell to a good home. Motorhead-Snake Bite Love & TOOL-Anemia (did I spell that right?). Both are new, and are about 12" x 24" each, and I'll let both go for $15 for the pair. The $15 includes shipping in a sturdy poster tube. I only have 1 set, so e-mail me at kjturner@intermedia.com if interested. Continental US or Canada please, as overseas shipping is expensive.

Hey, everybody. My name is Doug Sarnecky, and I've been a Motorhead fan for about 4 years. I finally saw them in concert this summer at Ozzfest(July 11 at the E Center in Camden, NJ., although for some reason the show is stated as Philadelphia on the tour shirts), and I have to say out of all the bands I've seen in concert,(and this is a lot), the only band that is as good a live band as Motorhead is some obscure band(sic) named Metallica,(who played "Overkill" one of the nights I saw them and was also the night I met James and Jason)!! Even at the Ozzfest, Motorhead was the best band, even upstaging Ozzy, which is no small feat. It was such a relief when the boys kicked into "Iron Fist" to start their 35 minute set, especially after being subjected to all the other crap on the bill that day that some think is music. Motorhead, the originals, showed all these other bands the proper way to rock 'n' roll. The other songs played that day were "Stay Clean," "Over Your Shoulder," "Nothing Up My Sleeve," "Sacrifice," "Killed By Death," "Ace Of Spades," and "Overkill." I'm glad Motorhead was on the second stage, because I got up pretty close, and by the time the set ended, my brain was mashed into cottage cheese! I also bought a Motorhead shirt that day, and the only thing I can't understand is why they didn't play anything off "Snake Bite Love." Other than that, it was a killer set! I would like to ask Ace Trump one question about Lemmy. Is Lemmy's birthday December 24? I'm pretty sure it is, but would like to find out for sure. The reason why I'm asking this is because my birthday is December 24, and I've never met anybody or heard of anybody else who shares the same birthday as me. It would be nice to know somebody else on this planet was unfortunate enough to be born on Christmas Eve, and if Lemmy is the guy, I won't feel as unfortunate. I know exactly what Lemmy is talking about in my favorite Motorhead song, "Capricorn." That song describes me pretty well. Well, thanks for reading this, and I can't wait to see Motorhead again!

Editor: Yup, December 24 is Lemmy's Birthday. Signed - A fellow Capricorn!

OS: Once again "Another Perfect Day" rears its ugly head to be called Greatest Motorhead Album. I simply don't get it. While Robbo's fret-work is first class, how anyone can rank "APD" with the likes of "Bastards", "1916", and "Sacrifice" is beyond me. Let's face it, Motorhead's best work has come in this decade, and I think Lemmy will attest to that as well.

Ace, you mentioned that you have seen upcoming North America dates. Will Atlanta get another chance to see the "Snake Bite Love" Tour (we blew it back in July)?

Are you still affilliated with the imotorhead.com website? How come it hasn't been updated since July 4?

Any scoop on a new album? Will it be another live venture?

Where do you live anyway?

**Editor: WHEW! A man with questions! OK, here are the answers... (1) I have not seen the N.A. dates, I spoke to the management one day and they said that the dates where being put together and there was nothing close to where I live. (2) Yes, I run the imotorhead website. It has not been updated because it is in the process of being moved. Until that move is complete, I do not have access to the site... long story. (3) No, I have no news on the new album yet, but maybe by next issue. (4) Penticton, British Columbia, Canada.

Hi all fellow headbangers!

I just bought a CD from band Nashville Pussy. Somebody have compared it to Motorhead, so I have to bought it immediately! I listened it and really liked the music, it's kind of mix of Motorhead and punk-style. The band is coming to Finland to play live at November (maybe). Have anyone of you seen the band live? More information from;
That's all for this time..

Repe from Raw Deal

**Editor: They played my way a short while ago. I did not catch the show, but a friend of mine did and he thought it was one of the best shows he had ever seen. Oh course, he really gets off on the girl-girl thing. :-)

I hope this gets out before the tour starts:

Confirmed support bands for Motorhead's UK tour are Groop Dogdrill and Radiator. I heard rumours that Skew Siskin might be slotted in for London but I couldn't get through to the relevant people to confirm this - so please don't take this rumour as gospel 'til somethingm more concrete is announced.

In Kerrang magazine this week, Lemmy said to expect some surprises on the tour - he will perform some old classics that he hasn't done on stage for the last 15 years. It'll be interesting to see what those are.

Take care,

Sarmad (MHB 1881)
