Hello Again Fellow Motorheadbangers!!

Well, there have a great number of changes that have occurred over the past month. These changes have caused this issue to be delayed and for that I apologize.

First of all, I am no longer associated with the organization known as NEXT LEVEL. I wish them the best.

Second, I have moved... twice!! It is a VERY long story that I don't feel like recounting here. In any case, here is my contact info effective immediately:

Ace Trump
#105 - 724 Government Street
Penticton, BC
V2A 4T3

Fax: (250) 490-8148

The U.S. address remains unchanged as:

Ace Trump
PO Box 599
Oroville, WA
98844-0599

Also, make sure that you are using my new e-mail address acetrump@bigfoot.com. The one at ace@nextlevel.com no longer functions.

I do not currently have access to the Official Web Site FTP site, but this will be corrected soon. Until then, there will be no updates to the Official site.

I did manage to get the tribute up and running before I left and I am curious about your comments. I thought for sure that I would get a lot of them, but you have been mostly silent. Let me hear what you think.

Also, I have been having a LOT of trouble with my e-mail over the past 6-7 weeks. I figure that I have lost hundreds of e-mails. So, if you have e-mailed me within the past 6-7 weeks and either didn't get a reply from me or did not see your letter on this list, please re-send it ASAP and I will rectify the situation.

The past several weeks have been VERY stressful for me. I am sorry that one of the outcomes is that I slacked on my commitment too all of you on this newsletter. But, things are good now and I should be able to get things back on track (as it were).

Phil's column never managed to materialize. The demands on the time for Motorhead as part of the OZZfest were considerable and Phil just did not find the time. But, I am sure that we will be able to work something out in the near future for another idea.

Thanks for your patience and welcome to the first issue of our second year together. Here is to many more!

IN response to the comment on orgasmatron, I think a lot of motorheadbangers would have to say that the album is one of the best lyrically and musically, and "Deaf Forever:" and "Claw" are truly classics that do not get played enough in concert, being that motorhead just has an arsenal of fine songs that they can choose from. Orgasmatron is excellent, and so is the cover artwork on it. Also, another perfect day is damn great! Dancing on your grave Marching off to war, turn you round again are fine cuts. What is this listserv for any way--bashing or admiration? I think I should like to think that this listserv was made up for the love of motorhead's labours.
Motorhead at OZZFEST were awesome only they headlined a dinky stage #2 (which stands for you know what #2 as in shit stage) Lemmy was witty and funny and phil was great, mikkey was an animal on drums. I still cannot believe the disrespect that motorhead gets at shows in terms of playing time. They played a brief 30 minute set, and by the looks of their faces, were very disgusted that they had to quit early. The crowd grew as the short set went on, and motorhead had to resort to an abbreviated 7 song set list--rumbling through with Iron Fist, then Metropolis, a kick ass Civil War, then Love for Sale, then a great pounding version of Sacrifice, then "Killed by Death", then a fist rousing rendition of "Ace of Spades" I picked up the double sided t-shirt with motorhead england on front, Everything louder than everything else on reverse with the trademark spade. I was really pleased that I finally found a motorhead shirt-an endangered species here in america. "Rock and Roll music good and loud"--from Dance, Ace of Spades.

However, it?s a manner of taste, but Orgasmatron is not their worst album. I?ve got the "remastered.from.the.original.tapes" -cd-version - the sound quality is ok and it is an album full of steaming energy. Especially the first track ("deaf forever") and also "Orgasmatron" found a way to my ear...
Hu, "similar-sounding":I had a deja-vu (...) about "nothing up my sleeve" and good old "ace of spades"...funny, isn?t it?

'81 was the only time I'd been to a Motorhead concert, and it was at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco. My ears are still ringing. BTW, I happen to like Orgasmatron, just like I've liked about everything I've heard from Lemmy. Even his way old stuff like Leaving Here and Iron Horse. But you keep on playing devil's advocate if you want. You can't sway a hardcore fan like myself.

Drummer Kid kicks ass!!!!
**************************************************** Hi Ace! First of all I want to thank you for all the work you are doing regarding to the web site and mailing list. You have made it a really good one. I am writing from Hungary, Budapest. Motorhead was here on the 30 of June. They made a great show. Because of the rain the show was held inside the building, which made a sauna from the stadium. I arrived half an hour before the show, so I was enable to catch Mikkey during an interview. He was very kind, he answered all the stupid question of the reporter. I also saw Phil with his girlfriend ( or wife???? ). Unfortunately Lemmy did not come out before the show. When they began to play, everybody has jumped up. They started with Iron Fist. They went through all their classics: Nothing up my sleeve, Orgasmatron, Metropolis, Bomber etc...Unfortunately they didnt play Motorhead and We are the road crew. They played only a few songs from the new album. I thought they would be play much more songs from the Snake Bite Love. I think that album is a very good, strong, itchy-bitchy one. I hope they enjoyed the show. I had a really good time, despite of that I became deaf for two days. Thanks for the great show, and a big salute to Lemmy who is still refusing to give up kicking ass. At the end I have two questions.
1. Is Motorhead planning to release a new live album or not?
2. Why they do not play any songs from March or Die?
I was on 3 shows of Motorhed back to 1994, and I have never heard any songs from that album. I hope they will be coming back soon. They still give me a big pleasure and I wish them and you all the best. Thanks Laci

G'day fellow Motorheadbangers!
Calling from down under and I must say that I am impressed with your Overnight Sensation digest.
It is cool to think that there are mates with similar opinions to mine. Anyway, I was wondering if anybody out there shares the same sentiments for Bastards the way I do? I love this album. After purchasing Motorheads back catalogue (except Snake Bite Love, Sacrifice and March or Die) I was certainly disheartened with their music. This to me can not compare with Death or Glory, Burner, Lost in the Ozone , Devils and the rest really. Please get back to me fellow Motorheadbangers and maybe suggest another album or whatever. I agree totally with anybody who dislikes hip-hop, Techno, Rap and those who make this music should listen to it afterwards.

Cheers, Mark Karl.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET MOTORHEAD TO COME BACK TO INDY? I MISSED THEM TWICE IN GERMANY 87-89 AND WENT NUTS WHEN I FOUND OUT THEY WERE GOING TO BE IN INDY. THEY PLAYED FOR THIRTY MINUTES AND HAD TO STOP. I MEAN MEGADEATH GOT MORE THAN THAT AND THEY WON'T BE AROUND FOR 20+ YEARS. NOBODY PLAYS STRAIGHT OUT ROCK AND ROLL LIKE THESE BOYS.

GOT TO GO,
JIMMY KILLKILIA

Hello all,
I just wanted to see if anyone had attended the Ozz-Fest in Detroit and had seen the Motorhead set. I thought they did A phenomenal job and the crowd seemed overjoyed. I spoke with Lemmy for about an hour and a half and never have I met a more gentlemanly and kind individual who also had the ability to discuss any and all subjects. Quite a guy. Thank you for your hospitality ,Sir. When I finally get to transcribing the interview I will post it here for you all to read.

Take care,
David
