Hello Again Fellow Motorheadbangers!!
Motorhead Conquers Europe! As you will see, this issue has several reviews from the
shows in Europe. I hope that more of you will take the time to write these... it
lets the rest of us imagine the joy you have felt.
I have uploaded several changes to the website... check it out!
The tribute layouts are finished and they look good, even if I do say so myself. I
am just waiting for the real audio files to be finished. The whole thing will be
unveiled within the next few days... I will send out a special post when it is done.
It looks like I will be attending at least one OZZfest show. You'll get my report
for sure.
I have already received several entries for our "First Anniversary" Contest.
For those of you that are new, here is the post that I sent last time:
We are nearing the first anniversary of our little gathering here. Thats right... on
July 6, the Overnight Sensation Mailing List will achieve it's first anniversary.
And in celebration, I have a little surprise. I have a lot of presents to
give a way! That right, thanks to the kind people at CMC International and Singerman
Entertainment, we are going to usher in the second year of Overnight Sensation with a real
BANG! I have Love For Sale Promo singles, I have copies of Snake Bite Love, I have
SBL posters and album flats and maybe a few surprises! Here is where you come in...
I want to hear your favorite Motorhead stories... send me your favorite concert experience
or maybe the first time you heard our favs or maybe the first time you met them.
Send your stories to me at ace@nextlevel.com
and make sure that the subject reads "OS: First Anniversary!". Everyone
that sends me something will be eligible for a prize. So, take a moment and share
your experiences with me. I will then post the best ones on the web site!
Ace Trump
Taking you to the NEXT LEVEL

On May 17, 1998 "Mikael Johansson" mikael.johansson@boras.se opines that apd
is motorheads' best album. I do not agree. I do, however, agree that it is indeed one of their better albums, and sadly under-rated.
The only gripe I have with apd is that in "Die You Bastards" Lemmy only says it once. C'mon, with a title like that, it's
gotta be repeated ad nauseam, iron-maiden style. It is a rockin' kick-ass, flaming, arrogant, explosive motherfuck of an
album. it's hard as a rock. It's shut like a lock. It blasts me into submission, I thrash my head and get blurry vision -
and, sorry. listening to Pantera. it's all true though.
it was asked where to find live material from this epoch. i believe that the king biscuit flour hour cd has live apd stuff.
since the people on this list enjoy pointing out ANY lemmy reference, anywhere, i feel i owe it to y'all to do this
one. In "The Big (stupid godawful piece o shit old-man stinkin' geriatric decrepit prolapse-inducing) Hit", the big ending
fight scene takes place in a movie rental store. All over the walls are Troma video posters. Amoung them are, yep, "Tromeo
and Juliet" WOW! that's simply amazing. and one of the charcters used the article "the" and lemmy has used the SAME EXACT
ARTICLE!!!! OMIGOD! anyhoo, who's going to OZZfest in Manchester, Massachusetts? (great woods) I am going to both shows,
so if anyone wants ta meet up, chill, thrash, (and at the second show, attend my double nuptuals) before, during or after
the show, then contact me. Dave, you don't count.

A local radio station (KOCP, 95.9 FM, Ventura, California) is looking for votes for people's favorite rock album of all time.
If enough votes for a particular album are totalled then they'll play that album on the radio on Memorial Day (May 31?),
top 50 wins. The address to email to is: tonysrox@aol.com
They ask for one album per vote and one vote per person, and they also take votes at
800-827-7882. I'm sure they'll wonder about all the foreign addresses, but who cares.
I voted for
HAMMERSMITH!

Hi,
I am not sure who to go to on this, so help me out here if you are the wrong
person to bring this too.
I was reading the "Lemmy Speaks" question today, and I though that
mabye it would be a good idea to take the question off that asks about Wendy O'Conner.
I'm not sure if you have any controll over this, but please do what you can.
Thank you,
Jayson Sargent
**Editor: I thought about this as well. This questions was, of course, posed
and answered before Wendy's death. But, it was also the honest answer from Lemmy
himself. What do think? Do any of you find it irreverant or in bad taste to
leave up? Let me know...

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that Paul Cobbold was involved with Snake Bite Love. I
meant that he was involved in Motorhead back in the past, and the recent Hawkwind albums
I've acquired all have his name on them.
Sorry for the mistaken meaning.

About the vote on that radio station( - tonysrox@aol.col) I think we should all vote the
same thing, 'Ace of spades' for instance(It's not my fav. but it's a classic which deseves being played on memorial
day. -also I think that Virtua xi is quite rubbish, pity cos Iron maiden used to be good....now they've gone electrical.
I too hate polititiens, but I don't think Lady di was one.... maybe we should ask Lemmy!?

Before going to France, Motorhead played in Spain. Their last gig was in Barcelona. That was on the 4th of May. Lemmy had
been really sick the whole day. I?m a friend of him, so when their road manager told me about Lemmy?s condition went to see
how he was feeling. Shit, he was really bad. He had a very high fever, was pale and covered in sweat. I was sure he wasn?t
gonna be able to play. But he did it and, he did it better than in any of the many concerts I?ve seen from them. After the
gig, Lemmy was even worse than before. I tried to convice him that the best was cancelling their show next day in Lyon (France).
He didn?t listen to me and said he?d play. I suposse that he felt really very very sick if you guys say that that concert
never was held. I have written an article for a Spanish magazine telling the whole story about his sickness and the Barcelona
concert. Soon I?ll translate into English and I?ll send it to you. I just wanna say that after that day, my already great
respect towards Lemmy has grown even bigger. I realize that Lemmy is the Rock?n?Roll in person. Anybody that is feeling so
fucked up as he was, could have played a fake role. He?s for real.

Hello all,
Yet another ugly American with far too much education coupled with a severe shortage of
class here. I should be getting on the phone some time soon with Lemmy and am soliciting
questions from you, the more knowledgeable Motorhead fans. What I am looking for is some
really weird stuff. Like maybe a weird experience to be explained or something.
I know that I met the man at an Alice Cooper show years ago where he played between
Alice and Faster Pussycat. After the show he needed a ride to San Diego for some
reason and I have always wondered why?(and by the way, if I had driven to the venue myself
I would have given the ride gladly!) I will also be reviewing the Detroit Ozz-Fest show
and would love to get fan perspective so if anyone of you will be there e-mail me and
perhaps we can hook up.
Take care,
David (Julie is my wife so don't ask why the header is different than what I sign at the
bottom. I really must change that. People e-mail just to ask that question.
Goodbye, time to take my pills.)

A reply to Mister Snaggletooth.
As one MotorFan who loves the Royal Family with all his heart, I would just like to say
that your opinions about our beloved dead Princess are not welcome in this country. If you
do not respect the wishes of a still grieving population and pay respects to Her, please
take your life and Motorhead collection elsewhere.
We will never let her go.
Thankyou.

You should have heard the concerts on the Bastards and Sacrifice tours where he was
allowed to play a five minute solo. Now THAT was fuckin' something...

yes, i am indeed disappointed by the snake bite love.overnight sensation was a hammer, as
fast as aggressive and full of life, so i was quite curious... only two songs sound really

A support band has at last been annouced for the UK shows by the name of "Groop
Dogdrill". Does anybody know what kind of music they do? Are they rock
'n' roll, metal, indie-rock, or death metal, etc ? I haven't heard of this
band.Whether if there's going to any more bands is still to be announced. I heard a rumour
that the fantastic Skew Siskin could be joining -
I hope Lemmy has his way and gets them on board too.
For everyone who asked, Motorhead will NOT be taking part in the Ozz-Fest UK even though
they will be headlining the second stage at the USA Ozz-Fest.
If this note gets out on time, check out this week's (May 30th issue) of
"Kerrang!" magazine where they have a Lemmy interview. He talks about
things like favourite drugs, his first shag!, etc. For those who don't get to read
the the issue on time, I hope to get the text scanned to post out on this mail-list.

Review of four shows of MOTORHEAD in Germany (19.05. Hannover, 20.05. Osnabruck, 21.05.
Hamburg, 28.05. Bremen)
I went to four brilliant shows of MOTORHEAD, and I must say they were as good as
ever! This tour they record for a forthcoming live album. I guess that's why the setlists
changed from show to show, which is very unusual forMOTORHEAD. On every tour I
visit a few shows and they maybe exchange one songfor another, but this time they
changed the setlist every night, dropped uptwo three songs and put other songs in.
They played a long set: 1 hour and 45minutes without any special solos, just the
pure songs. It seemed to me thatthe speed of the songs is now more to the original
speed of the studio versions. A few years ago they played everything much faster. You can
comparethat to the last live video.
All three were in a good mood. Lemmy was joking as ever. Same procedures as ever and as we
all are familiar with: Every show he says, "Guten Abend! We areMOTORHEAD and
we're gonna kick your ass." Lem's usual amps were there (KILLER and MURDER ONE), but
he has a new fan. Phil now uses not only Gallien-Kruger stacks but a stack from Engl. All
the guitar sound seem to come out of this Engl stack bacause two mics are in front of that
stack.
