Greetings Fellow Motorheadbangers!!

Phil & Mikkey will be flying to Los Angeles around mid September to begin the final phase of the creation of Motorhead's latest disc. They already completed writing several tracks earlier in the year and will continue work here in Los Angeles throughout the balance of September and most of October.

Motorhead will be playing atleast three shows in Sept/October in the Southern California area. There is a possibility of a fourth SoCal date, I will keep you posted. Recently added is a show in San Francisco on the 30th of September. After the album is finished, the band will then take a journey to play some shows in South Africa and a couple in Greece.

Yours truly will be at ALL SoCal dates, I hope to see you there!

Sanctuary will be doing re-issues of all the Motorhead albums that they have in their catalogue. Take a close look at the AOS re-issue... COLLECTORS ALERT! There is an error in the cover that will make this edition a collectors treat! More details on the reissues as I get them.

I also understand that the 25th Annvierasry DVD is almost finished. I will tell you the release date as I get it.

Hello there at all! I have a question about the contest. Why is it decaded to the 24.12.00? You know we've already write the year 2001,or not? Another question is, why can't I click to the side with the motrhead-shrines? I think i've createt something that's worth enough to show the people, to win a price, is not important to me! Only to do something creative, and to know how other Motrhaed-fans think about it, would be interesting to me!

stay clean
Marko

**Ace: Contest ended some time ago. I will post the shrines in the fall. The nature of my day job is that summers are very busy... fall is very quiet. There will be TONS of additions this fall...

Hi Acetrump
People who criticise Motorhead for doing work with WWF are plainly jealous that they are not 8 years old anymore, or perhaps have forgotten they were once children. WWF is pure fantasy and entertainment, which is exactly how it should be viewed and the music is an integral part of it.Those of us who saw Motorhead at the TENTH anniversary gig may well have children who have watched WWF and picked up on Motorhead as a result.

Sorry to hear Lemmy is not well, too many Kit-Kats? He could always come to sunny Devon(where it rains 6 days out of 7) to avoid bumping into 'Jack Daniels'.

I been meaning to write this for a long time, but I've kept forgetting - oh well, no real harm done.
Some time ago I stumbled into some references to Motorhead in two different newspapers. Tyhe first one was in a comic strip called "Assar", which is about a talking sausage who has escaped from a hot dog stand and moved to a place called "Nollberga" - that could be translated to something like Nothingville, well you get the idea.
Anyway, the evil supervillain in the series - Razor - at one time said: (free translation) "I only listen to motorhead in my walkman, and i chuck the batteries out in the wild" after which he proceeded with telling that "I never change my underwear, i just turn it." (I'm not just making this up! I swear!:-)
The second reference i came across was in a short interwiev with a actor/author called Reidar Palmgren who wrote a book (my own translation again) "Feet First". He said he'd got the inspiration for writing the book from listening to metal. Motorhead was especially mentioned, because, in the beginning of the book there is a motorhead/Lemmy Quote "we tell ourselves the best of lies" (from nightmare/dreamtime). This Palmgren person also said something like "Lemmy is one of the foremost philosophers of our time, he sees the world for what it really is."

What's up with the band and ill health? I keep witing for the arrival of tour dates for Chicago. L.A. in October is the closest I have heard. Will they be playing here soon? I hope they play the House of Blues again! Thanx!

**Ace: The band is in fine shape. By now many of you know that last falls health issues were for Lemmy were related to an undiagnosed case of Diabetes. The man is in great health and fitter then I have ever seen him.

As those of you that have been on this list for awhile know, I was involved with a website before that had lots of cool Motorhead stuff on it. Well, the fuckin' pussy that ran that site couldn't fuckin' handle being associated with such things anymore, so he fuckin' crumbled into dust and I had to sweep him into an envelope and mail it to his parents with a note of apology for what had befallen their son, but not before he trashed the website. So I figured, fuck him, it's time for me to go into business for myself in cyberspace and have my own site and not have to worry about fuckin' dorks like him. After weeks of searching for a place that would let me have a site and wouldn't fuck with me about any of the content no matter what, I succeeded.
The fruits of this labor can now be seen at http://www.themastersunderground.com
Yes, this is going to be a blatant fuckin' attempt for me to promote said site by using the name of Motorhead, but I have reasons for doing it. Reasons like the interview that I did with Lemmy after the Halloween 1986 show here in Chicago is there, on its very own page. Reasons such as that the autographed Motorhead memorabilia that I have is on display, again on its very own page. The as-far-as-I-know, one-of-a-kind Expo Of The Extreme CD is there, as well as the Hawkwind stuff that Lemmy has graciously autographed for me, and autoigraphed Ace Of Spades and .Bomber and who knows what else will be there by the time that you read this. The countenance and words of Lemmy are well represented on this site one again. There are other attraction there as well, like other rock memorabilia from the likes of Frank Marino and DRI and SOD and Slayer, etc. There are National Hockey league and Major League Baseball Hall Of famers represented as well. There are fuckin' profanity filled fuckin' colums that I fuckin' write very few days there, but they really don't deal with Motorhead, I write that stuff here. These are mostly socio-poltical topics there. I also have a shitload of pictures of myself and various other things up there, the pictures that brought stern warnings on the last site because those pussified Photopoint people would get all upset because some fuckin' Yuppie that they steered to the site just because we were using their shit would see some of these pictures and be fuckin' horrified at the content and have fuckin' palpitations and write Photopoint expressing their disgust so I had to get shit about it. On this site, the only things that I can't do are child pornography and copyright infringement, so it's the wide open spaces where anything else goes. I looked long and hard for that, because I wouldn't have done it if I couln't have it that way. I know that the site may not look to awfully professional, but considering that I hardly had any fuckin' idea about what the fuck I was doing when I started this thing on the Fourth of July, I made the fucker work and that's all that I care about right now. Aesthetics shall come later. So check it out and see what you think.
Salutations In
Excelsior,
Michael Mc Intyre

Since everyone is clamoring about which MH song is best or worst, I will add a twist. =After a 7 year hiatus, I wiped the dust off "March or Die" and played it on 10. =I had forgotten all of the gems that are on this great album; "Aint No Nice Guy (with Ozzy and Slash), "Too Goood to be True", Hellraiser (co-written w/Ozzy), "Jack the Ripper" and the title track. =All great. =At the time, I thought this was just another good MH album, but looking back, this could well be their best album of all. =I think this was Micki's first with MH and Wurzel and Phil really complimented one another.

Any fan that hasnt heard this album should get it. =Anyone that has it, should revisit it and really listen to this seemingly timeless masterpiece.

However, in the grand scheme of Motorhead albums, they are all great, timeless masterpeices that all sound better as the years carry on. =No suprise as the best music never gets or sounds dated...hopefully one day (as in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame) this band will be honored and acknowledged as it ought be; simply one of the best no nonsense rock n roll bands of all time.
=Truely amazing.

Metalhead" & I've got some unfinished buisness with Lem' & the boys. Ya see my buddy has a fanzine & radio show in Kansas City, Mo. and had an interview set up with Phil before the show. After having problems with the A-hole at the front door, we spotted Phil in the pub and told him about our misfortunes with the doorman about getting backstage. Before I knew it Mr. Campbell had us both on the tour bus. I was in complete shock, never seeing but worshipping Motorhead for 18 years. Well Phil pulled out a bus tub full of Heineken all iced down & offered some to us then proceeded with my buddies interview. After about 10 minutes all the questions were asked & answered, Phil goes & wakes up Lemmy to get some pictures taken with us. At this point I totally cannot believe the one & only Ian Kilmister is shaking my hand, but when it comes time to take the photos we find out the f**kin' batteries in the camera were toast!!! Talk about sh**ty luck {I thought the Irish were supposed to have good luck}, but after the show we got new batteries and Mikki Dee came out & took a picture with me. Bottom line is I cannot wait to see Motorhead live again & hopefully can get my picture taken with Lemmy this time, do you know if the boys are planning to come to K.C. again on the new tour??? Oh ya if you want to check out my buddies fanzine on the net go to www.soundsheavy.com and check out his Thin Lizzy tribute issue. He interviews Phil Lynott's mum & Joey Vera of Armored Saint sums up his favorite Lizzy opus'.

Well, I love many kinds of Rock 'n' Roll, specially the 70's and the heavy metal of the beggining of the 80's. I would like to know if is possible you of Motrhed playing whith Dio? Aren't you friends? His voice is very stronger and I think that can be a very good combination. Your powerfull sound whith the Dio's voice and his bloody lyrics, like the lyrics of "Magica", "Heaven and hell"... Now, I'm listening a album of yours, "Don't sleep 'till Hammersmith". Lemmy, I know I'm frowing thinking it, but tell me if ti's possible, cause I like so much powersound, specially with my girl with many, many, many beer!!! Ok? Ah! I'm capricorn too! "My life, my heart..."!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!

Hey MHB's,

Just wondering if anyone else got SUCKERED on the last=U.S. Motorhead=tour by a SCAM company called "Fan Association." Basically, here's what happened- There were VERY LEGITIMATE looking flyers at the merchandise booth at the Motorhead show at the House Of Blues in Chicago. The flyer=said "Concert Photo Coupon" and for $2.00 (shipping) you would get a concert photo of Motorhead, possibly the show you were at.
I figgered for $2.00 I'd give it a shot. That was SIX MONTHS AGO! My wife said she sent money to the same company for a Stones photo THREE YEARS AGO! What's the deal? I don't wanna blame Motorhead. They're as on-the-level as you can get. But it was at their merch booth. Ace, or anyone- know anything about this?

Tim Shockley MHB672
Chicago

PS. They have a website - http://www.fan-association.com

**Ace: I do not know anything about this. I do know that it has nothing to do with the merchandise company that handles Motorhead (Bravado).
