"Killed By Death" came from an episode of the Goon Show which was written by Spike Milligan - I forget which one but I've got a Goon Show Scripts paperback with the exact show it's in.

Hey Ace,
=============My vote for the best song on We Are Motorhead is "Slow Dance".
It was a little bit of a hard choice because I think "Wake The Dead", "One More Fucking Time", and "Wearing Your Heart On Your Sleeve" are killer tracks too.

======I think all this bitching and arguing about "Killed By Death" is bullshit. Come on people, this shit is getting way too old. I've never seen people argue over a "good" song before. Usually people argue over crappy shit like whether Christina or Britney are better than the other. People, this is fucking MOTORHEAD!!!!!! A band with one of the best lyricists and songwriters ever. Sure some songs are better than others, but "Killed By Death" is a good song. There are Motorhead songs that I like better, but I'm not going to rip on a good song just because it's not at the top of my list of favorites.
All of the people arguing over this really need to find something better to do with their time because this has gotten idiotic. So you all can just go "squueze your lizards" or whatever. Just shutup if you don't have anything better to say.

Rock On,

Subject: lyrics to triple h theme

the lyrics for the new Triple H theme song are as follows.
It's all about the game and how you play it
Its' all about control and you cann't take it
It's all a bounch of shit and if you can take it?
It's all about the pain and who's gunna make it?

I am the GAME you don't know how to play me
I am CONTROl no way you can shake me
I am HEAVY DEBT no way you can pay me
I am the PAIN and I know you cann't take me

Look over your shoulder ready to run
Your a quivering bitch over a smoking gun
I am the game and I make the rules
So move on out here and die like a fool
Try to bring it out here and loose your beliefs
Tomarrow your a sucker, why don't you act mean?
Don't forget theres a price you can pay,

It's time to play the game...
I AM THE GAME!!!!!!!!!!

And as for the guy who requested the tabs to thatsong, dude just learn it by ear. You dont need a damn trendy 7 string. Its a very simple song, straight up Rock and Roll Motorhead fashion. Learn to use your ear. The time and effort for even the simplist of songs is worth it. And last, to add my opinion. My favorite Motor tune is "Death or Glory". Later duders

My favorite song from the new Motorhead album is, STAGEFRIGHT. It kicks ass. But I still do have a question, when is Lemmy going to thank my dog: JIMI the dog that likes Motorhead on a future album? I could provide pictures of him in Motorhead clothing and send them to the band. Mickey Dee autographed one of his pictures.

Vince G.
Ps-the dog was named after Jimi Hendrix, Lemmy would LOVE to know that.

Point 1 (wrestling): Surely Motorhead doing a song for the WWF will increase people's awareness of them, hence they sell more CDs. Good thing, eh? As far as you seem to be concerned, no. Why? I'm sure Lemmy would be interested to know that you think he shouldn't be able to sell his CDs to whomever wishes to purchase them. As for "keep motorhead for those who truly love it for what it is," does that not just make them sound like Spinal Tap, with their "more selective" audience? Elitism sucks, boyo.

By the way, have you ever met any wrestlers? If not, how do you know that they're all steroid-ripped freaks with very small brains? As far as I'm aware, adult humans have pretty much the same size of brain. They are minor discrepancies, of course, but by and large, they're the same. As for the steroids, have you ever heard of a gymnasium? It's one of those places where people lift heavy things in order to increase muscle mass. Even with steroids, you need to work out heavily in order to get bigger. It doesn't happen magically. Ah, the ignorant in society. Don't you just love them? Maybe you're just jealous because they pull in a couple of thousand dollars a week for entertaining several thousand people 300 nights a year.

Point 2 (movie soundtracks): What's wrong with doing songs for movie soundtracks? I'm sure Slayer like the extra money that it brings in for them. I'm sure artistic integrity is a nice thing to have, but does it keep a roof over your head and food in the fridge? I think not.

Point 3 (Lars Ulrich): Fucking grow up. "Lars Ulrich i hope you fucking die you pussy" What sort of comment is that? Granted, he comes across as an arrogant arsehole, but who the fuck are you to say he should die? I'm sure you thought you sounded really tough when you wrote that, but sorry, you sound like a 12-year-old with mummy's computer. You certainly write that way. As for the band themselves, their current musical output may be crap, but they still kick ass live. Remember the old albums? Ride The Lightning, Master Of Puppets, etc? They still play stuff off them at their gigs.

Cheers, John.

I've traveled frequently around the Midwest over the years to see Motorhead and I'm gunning for a London Forum show in May (gotta SAVE my dough)! Hope I have half as good a time as you did.

Thanks for your efforts at keeping everyone up to date on the news, etc. with the site.

I don't know whats wrong with most of these people!! They all are ripping Killed by Death!! When they should be ripping the new wrestling song!!!!
I think Killed by Death is an unstopable song. It shouldn't be ripped on, just dropped from the set for a while! I'm 20 years old and all of my generation sucks!! Well to go further, mostly everyone sucks!! The last thing i want to hear are people bitching about killed by death! Its bad enough to see (i'm starting to think) more and more young people are responding in these letters with stupid/pointless/dumb shit. Back in the 80's most of these so called Motorhead fans would of got there asses kicked!!! Now i'm so sick of bands trying to catch the in crowd(new fans). Fuck the in crowd, i listen to Motorhead cause i shit on the in crowd!!!! I'm disappointed in Motorhead that there fans can't have access to this wrestling tune. Motorhead should know better, at least there should have been a clause that it would be on the website or on the next studio album!! Through the years i have been sold out by bands such as slayer, ozzy, sabbath, ac/dc, alice cooper, metallica and u all know the others!!! I always told myself that 3 bands were left that would still never sell me out. These bands were Motorhead, King Diamond and Dio. Now Motorhead does this wrestling song and i lost a lot of the admiration and respect that i had for him. He was my voice and all of yours and you all know the songs!! He saved me from the hell of high school and society in general. It breaks my spirit and my heart to see this attempt to get those people as their audience!!! When i do something in my life and i'm not sure if its metal ------i say "what would lemmy do" ---i can't say that no more and it bothers me!! I hope that the dude that wrote in that said king diamond was working with dave grohl and tom araya wasn't serious? I need to know more? Also songs i want to here are in a set are (crazy like a fox, all of bastards ----except please don't let daddy, especially death or glory and bad woman plus tracks 1,2,4,5------------also dog face boy, don't waste your time, love for sale, nightside, please don't touch, eat the rich, dead and gone, blackheart, dirty love, white line fever, lost johnny, traitor, hammer, jailbait, sweet revenge, poison, and i will give my full list next response!!!

I just wanted to write in and say how much I appreciate the great work done on the website and the newsletter by acetrump. I really enjoy motorhead and I am always eager to find out when they will be on tour or releasing something, and I never look any further than the webpage and newsletter.
Also, I wanted to add my 2 cents worth on a few things. To=the guy who said deaf forever is one of the best songs by motorhead: I totally agree, I was introduced to motorhead by a friend, and the first song I heard was deaf forever, I have been absolutely addicted to motorhead since that song! Also, I LOVE killed by death. I can remember a few years back, everytime I got in my car, I would rewind the tape to killed by death. My vote for best album is Bastards. And I think the live album "everything louder..." is THE best live album I've ever heard. And I think the current lineup is as good if not better than any past lineup. Motorhead put out absolutely=awesome music since the start of the nineties, and everytime I see them live, phil and mikkey are awe-inspiring. Anyways, thanks again Ace.

Killed By Death is not the best song Lemmy has ever written, but you have to take as a bit if tounge in cheek. We all know that Lemmy can write some very serious lyrics[1916,Dont let daddy kiss me]so I dont think we should give him shit for it.

Subject: os: motorhead cult?

Hey, Ace! In OS#119 it was suggested that some of the fans have a cult-like obsession with the band. While this may be true, I am sure there are much worse things than Motorhead, with which one could be obsessed. Speaking of obsessed, my fiance', Randall, is probably the most intense Motorhead fan I know. I thought I was a big fan, but he is even more "obsessed" with Motorhead than I am! We are getting married on April 28 and he wants to send an invitation to Motorhead. While I feel it is very unlikely that they will come to the wedding, I would like to humor him and send them an invitation. Do you have an address where we can send it??
By the way, our "first dance" as a couple at the wedding will be "Love Me Forever," one of our favorite songs, by Doro and Lemmy. It has a nice waltz kind of rhythm. We wanted to use "Slow Dance," which we enjoy dancing to, BUT were afraid our elderly relatives and other guests might not appreciate it...!
Love & blessings to all our fellow Motorheadbangers. - Jamie (Note: Although I am sending this from the Netscape e-mail, please send all replies to my new e-mail: stardata@earthlink.net. Thanks!)

Subject: os: hardcore (lemmy's song) and other stuff

Just got a listen to a track off of Dee Sniders album called Hardcore (Lemmy's song) off of the album=Never let the Bastards wear you down (sounds familiar huh...)=

Anyway the song rocks, and its great to see a metal legend paying tribute to another metal legend, if you ask me Lemmy is still under appreciated for everything hes done, hell I just picked up the big book of sex drugs and rock n roll and not one Lemmy/Motorhead story, hell they had=Hendrix, The Who, all the way up to Guns N Roses and Manson but no Motorhead, what gives... Oh well guess Ill just wait till Lemmy gets his own book out there.

FYI: Ace, dont know if you know about it but Motorhead is now on MP3.com, not as a listen site but they have referals to whare you can purchace Motorhead albums online and get Instant listen after you buy. I still think that it would be a great way to generate some cash for maintaining the site if you could get permission to post a couple songs on MP3 and earn "payback for Playback". Check out the MP3 metal church area to see what I mean.

Great job as always

(Motorhead: Vicar St., Dublin.)

Finally, after 18 years, The 'head are comin' back to play Dublin (Ireland) on May 14th! I didn't get to see them when they played the first time but i'm really looking forward to it. My brother is a huge Motorhead fan and saw them back in '83 (in Dalymount Park) and is forever talkin' about it. When i told him about Motorhead comin' back he nearly pissed himself!!

There's a good buzz around the metal scene here about the gig, everybody knows of Motorhead's legendary shows, a true original Metal band with no bullshit. Even people i know who aren't into metal are goin', just because it's Motorhead!

Keep it metal!!

just trying to read your trip to London section, couldn't get day 2 to down load properly having tried plenty. It seems to only download to the word Wandering just after where you mention Lemmy joining the Hawkwind mob on stage.

By the way, I wouldn't be too impressed with London, by and large it is a dump. Next time you are over and you want to see inspiring, go and see Cambridge, it is the most historically steeped, beautiful place and as a bonus you are about 10 times less likely to get mugged as you are in London

best wishes
