Sorry lads and ladies... I just finished moving residences for the second time in as many
months. My computer is currently set up on a table in my laundry room because there
are boxes EVERYWHERE. Anyway, I did not manage to get to compiling OS until this
evening.
I think things are starting to come together for the tribute album. I contacted
Motorhead's management about the idea and they are all for it! Over the next month I will
have the opportunity to get things organized and underway. I have secured access to
a full featured, 24 track recording studio for use in compiling the results of this
endeavor... let the mayhem begin!
P.S. It looks like our boys may take the Iron Fist to the Iron Curtain... shows are
currently booked in Moscow and St. Petersburgh! Let's hope they hold together!
Russia (or whatever) will never be the same.

Heyas, I'm new to the Motorhead list and would like to say its GREAT. I've been a Motorhead fan since the beginning of the
'80's, and I was really suprised to find so much of them on the net. I had the pleasure of meeting Lemmy and the band in
the mid 80's at a record signing in Studio City, Ca. Lemmy has got to be one of the nicest people I've met....and you gotta
love his warped sense of humor. Only about 30-40 people showed up for the signing, so we were able to talk with the band
for quite awhile. THey were great...even posed for MANY photos with us. We were able to talk to Lemmy for another 20 mins.
outside as he waited for his Limo to the show... ( which he ditched in favor of a ride with an attractive lady he met there).
Well, glad i finally found the Motorhead list!

Just curious - does anyone know if Motorhead has ever performed any Ramones songs live or
in studio? Know that the Boys in Black from New York have finally retired, my
favorite bands list is down to one - Motorhead. But it would be really interesting
(and I think sound fantastic) to hear Lemmy do Psycho Therapy or Warthog, or any of a
number of other heavier Ramones cuts.
Anyone, anyone?
Like the Ramones - Motorhead just seems to get better and better as time goes on. Every
new album they come out with, I hate at first, then fall hopelessly in love with after a
few listens!
Lastly - does anyone know if the leather-jacketed version of the No Remorse double-LP is
worth anything these days?

I am interested in the band Skew Siskin, which I found out from Lemmy how great they were.
I have got their first album, but they now have another album out that I can't seem to
find anywhere. In the last Overnight Sensation news letter, one of the guitarist from Skew
Siskin had a message posted. What I need from you, if you can help me is some kind of
address be it e-mail, record company or otherwise to get in touch with him, the band or
management, so I can find out how too get their albums etc. If you can help me I would
appreciate it. this band absolutely Rocks! The word needs to be spread around by anybody
and everybody. If Lemmy endorses this band nothing else needs to be said. Thanks

Hello, Motorhead-Fans,
yesterday I watched again my old Motorhead-video "Live In Toronto". This
was taped on the Iron-Fist-Canada/USA-tour with the classical line-up Lem, Philthy, Fast
Eddie. It's nearly the whole show and an interview with the band in a record store in
Toronto.
I wonder if this show was the last ever gig with Eddie Clarke? I read that Eddie quit
after a show in Toronto on this tour, because of Lemmy's duet of horrible "Stand By
Your Man" with Plasmatic's Wendy O'Williams. Was it that gig?? The interview shows
the band making fun and horsing around; no sign, that Eddie was about to leave the band in
the next days.
Maybe you know it, Ace?? Or someone out there in Motorhead-supporter-land?
BTW: Great work, Ace; thank you for doing this!!!!!!!!

Hello, fellow Motorheadbangers,
In the last few OS issues, movies are mentioned in which Lemmy/Motorhead appear. In
addition to this, I would like the to mention the fact that Motorhead played live in the
brilliant British comedy "The Young Ones" back in 1984. In the episode called
"Bambi", they play "Ace Of Spades". Line up: Ian "Lemmy"
Kilmister (bass/vocals), Phil "Philthy Animal" Taylor (drums), Phil
"Wizzo" Campbell (guitar), Michael "Wurzel" Burston (guitar). Apart
from that appearance, my favorite character (a punk called Vyvyan, played by Adrian
Edmondson) wears Motorhead shirts in quite some episodes while smashing the house and/or
his housemates. Check it out! When you watch the complete series, please note that series
2 are significantly funnier than series 1.
Greetings,

Hi Ace,
Thanks for the good service. I first saw motorhead at the LONDON Astoria and it was a
religious experience. This is because i have been a mh fan for a long long time but being
in india you hardly get to see such bands. Luckily i went to England for my studies and
that was a chance of my life to see my favourite band.

Hi everybody,
I'm a new member of this Motorheadgroup so I don't know if anyone has mentioned this
before. Lemmy is acting as a story-teller in a movie "Tromeo & Juliet",
which is the new version of Shakespeare's old theme. It is released year 1996 by the firm
Troma. It also contains music of Motorhead. Also one interesting film is "She"
which is directed by Avi Nesher and released in 1981? (I'm not sure about the year..).
It's a barbarian movie genre and contains also music of Motorhead.

Ben here again.
First off: I would love to pop down to Toronto to pick up some imports. Unfortunately
Toronto is 550 miles from my place (no joke) and we don't get many imports in the sticks.
Didn't mean to imply that Canada is in any way a backwater, just large parts of its
frigid-ass outback.
Second: To our dear host and manager of this fine publication: I would be willing to devote my time to certain
organizational duties with regards to this tribute project. Please contact me; you have my address. I don't know where
exactly your mastering studio is, but there are several good ones where I am (believe it or not) and I know many of the owners;
I'd be willing to work something out (or try). I also have the facilities to do CD submastering for the early attempts.
Write soon, amice. This project is too cool to let die.
The Ben.

**EDITOR: Thanks Ben! I will be sure to involve you any way I can. Our studio
is located in the heart of Beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia in Canada.

Saw them late 70s and early 80s. Infact I still have the TShirst from the bomber tour !
There were as good then as they are now,but they were different. I recall Fast eddie
complaining on the Iron fist tour that he preferred the old style rather than the new. And
as for Phil-does anyone know why he left AGAIN ? Something to do with his neck ?

Ace, I would definitely be interested in buying a
tribute album. I have been a motorhead fan for only about 8 months now. In
that time i have collected 12 cd's. My favorite is Sacrifice. I very
interested in a rerelease of Orgasmatron and Rock and Roll if it happens. I hope the
new album is faster and even more furious.
I was fortunate enough to see MH here in Detroit at
the Palladium. Was this the last show before the cancellation? Anyway, me and my
buddy are walking around the place and I see this guy with long sideburns sitting at the
bar . HOLY SHIT!!! It's Lemmy. Just sitting there at the bar talking with
fans. I was very impressed. I bought a tour shirt and asked him to sign it
with a magic marker, he was pretty cool. Good luck with this page, I think it's
really great to hear what all the other MH fans have to say. Later

What happened with Motorhead's support bands for their UK live shows?
Before it was advertised that DbH and Skew Siskin would be supporting. But in the last
couple of weeks the ad in Kerrang magazine says that Novocaine would be taking Skew's
place.
No matter who's supporting, but I haven't really heard of those three bands. Can someone
please tell me what sort of music to those bands do? ie - are they thrash, death metal,
industrial rock, etc? Earlier this year at London Astoria, we had Stimulator as
Motorhead's support. They did NIN type music and I thought it was a bit way out of
the audience's taste. People around me were getting impatient and trying to boo the
support band off stage. On the Sacrifice Tour we had Cathedral which was more like
it!
Anyway - look forward to seeing MH at Brixton Academy 25th October. I've got my
standing-area ticket and I hope to be right at the front row again!

Since this is a forum for the metal community,
and we're an obsessive lot, I was wondering if anyone knows what Lemmy is saying it the

someone has also figure out the Ozzy backwards talking on {I think} No More Tears, or on
the Iron Maiden song "Still Life"?

I picked up a copy of Overnight Sensation the other day. Not a bad album, but definately not the best. That title
would have to go to either Overkill or Orgasmatron. No Remorse doesn't really count, as its a collection mainly.
I have to ask, however, any ideas why Motorhead didn't come to Calgary for this tour? I mean, they came with Black
Sabbath on the Sacrifice tour, and as far as I'm concerned, as I am sure a lot of people in attendance would agree, Lemmy
& co. blew Sabbath off the stage. I mean, half the audience left after Motorhead finished the set. It pissed me
off that it didn't sell out, but that doesn't mean that they couldn't come back. Best recollection was the dedication
of Killed By Death to the security of the venue, which Lemmy referred to as "all these bastards down 'ere". TI have
to agree with John's letter from OS9 however, The mosh pit was pretty intense, with people being carried out on stretchers.
I mean, I had always thought the purpose of going to a show was to enjoy the music, not to see how many people you could
put in hospital. Motorhead rules, but if you didn't know that, I suppose you wouldn't be reading this.
Chris
** EDITOR: I get this sort of question A LOT through the Lemmy Speaks section of the
web page. "Why didn't you play my town on the last tour" or "when are
you coming to my town again". The truth of the matter is that it is entirely
reliant on a promoter in your town setting up a show. Motorhead does not book the shows,
they just play 'em. So, get on your local promoters case and he might see that there
are enough MH fans in Cow Town to bring the Master Of Metal back again to deal their brand
of guitar death.
