Greetings Fellow Motorheadbangers!!

WWF SONG

As some of you have heard, Motorhead has recorded a new theme song being used by one of the stars of the WWF, Triple H. Triple H came up with the original concepts for the song and asked Motorhead to recorded it as his entrance theme.

Mikkey and Phil recorded their parts in Austria at the end of 2000. The tapes were sent to the States and the day before his birthday, Lemmy went into the studio with Bob Kulick and layed down his bass tracks and worked up some stunning vocals. It is by far the best theme song any wrestler has ever used.

Bob Kulick stepped in at the end of the recording sessions of We Are Motorhead to help iron out a few of the tracks. It is looking good for Bob involvement in the new Motorhead studio album scheduled to begin recording in April. Mikkey and Phil are planning to come to Los Angeles in March to begin work on the album.

The band has been kind enough to provide us with the track for your listening enjoyment. It is going to appear as part of the WWF The Music - Volume 5 CD collection that is scheduled to be released on February 20th. The track is provided in both Real Audio format or in a downloadable MP3 format. You can pre-order the WWF The Music - Volume 5 CD collection by visiting http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000056NM9/blastmagazine0c

In addition, when Lemmy was in the studio with Bob Kulick, he reworked one song that he had started some time ago. It is called Shoot 'Em Down and it is provided here for you exclusively for visiting the Motorhead website. Enjoy!

LEMMY UPDATE

First, thanks to all of you for your well wishes and good thoughts for the Lemster. He is doing A-OK and is beginning work on the new studio album. Mikkey and Phil will join him in March for writing and rehersals. All is well on the Lemmy front.

As many Motorfans will already know, Lemmy recently recorded a track for the WWF wrestling federation. The track on which Lemmy plays and sings is called 'The Game'. It is used as the entrace music for the wrestler Triple H. I watched WWF yesterday in hope of hearing the track, but only managed to hear about 20 seconds of it. But what I heard sounded damn fine to me. The WWF album that features this track, and all other WWF music, is out on 20th February, so any really dedicated Lemmy fans can pre-order it now.

Keep up the good work Ace,

You've got a great little newsline going on here. =I'm very impressed. =I got to see the boys about 10 times now and each time is a treat. =I don't try to compare different eras of the band and just enjoy each for the night it is. = "Ace" is my favorite song, but, "Killed by Death" is a close second. =No matter, just MY personal favs. =I'm not trying to make anybody else think that way, as some of your e-mails seem to attest to. =. In all of the times I've seen the band I come out with a three day ring in my ears. =I've even stuffed cigarette butts in my ears, no help. =I wear the ringing as a "badge of =honor". =Not enuf to severly damage my hearing, or so my doc tells me. === Hell, I saw the boys at the Newport in Columbus with Sabbath and it was easily one of the best shows ever by both bands. =Even ceiling tiles came down due to the volume of Lemmy's ROAAAAAR! = Love 'em or not, what the hell, I tell everyone that Motorhead is my favorite band if only for the fact that I'll never hear a 13 year old girl saying "I love them...they're so CUTE!" Going to see the Syke's Lizzy tour this month. =Keep up the good work!

I saw on the news that Ronald Reagan fell down and broke his fuckin' hip.
He's out of the hospital and back at his home somewhere in the L.A. area. I got another idea from seeing all of this. Seeing as how Lemmy lives in L.A. now himself, how about getting Motorhead to play a get-well concert for Reagan at his home? Since you live there too Ace, you could go and document this historical event and post pictures on the website and maybe release a video of this and shit. I think that would be very cool. Pictures of Lemmy posing with Ronnie Reagan, video of Nancy Reagan rocking out to Bomber or KIlled By Death would be highly sought-after items, I believe. It is a fact that Reagan tried to catch a Motorhead show somewhere on the first American tour and the Motorhead/Mercyful Fate/Exciter tour and the Motorhead/Slayer tours as well, but saving the world from the evils of Communism just kept him too fuckin' busy to make any shows. It is also a fact that when Reagan had his summit with Mikhail Gorbachev in Iceland, that he wanted Motorhead to be there to play a private show because he wanted Gorbachev to check them out. However, scheduling probelms prevented this from actually taking place. I think that the band was recording at the time or some such shit. President Reagan writes extensively about this shit in his memoirs that are on his website at http://www.ronaldreagan.com So seeing all of this, I feel that it would be the right thing for Motorhead to do if they were to play a show for Dutch so that he can see them once before he dies. After all, he did save the world from those Godless Communist hordes. If it wasn't for Ronnie, the only music that we'd be hearing is the Internationale. So how about it Ace? You're the dude with the connections to make this happen, so what do you think?
Salutations
To All,
Michael Mc
Intyre

I haven't had a chance to read the whole issue yet, but in regards to the Motorhead song for the WWF, I think it's Triple HHH's new theme song. I heard it playing in the background during 'The Game's' exit at the end of Monday Night Raw.

Hey man,
I was watching the WWF's Raw is war last night and I swear they are using a Motorhead song as the entrance music for their wrestler HHH (triple H).
Would
I be correct in this assumption? If so, what song is it?

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Ace,

Great job on the OS!

When is Lemmy's book coming out? I know a lot of people were posting about it last year. When it does, any chance you could get some signed copies in the mtorheadshop?

Cheers
Ian

**Ace: When it comes out is anybody's guess at this point. But you can count on the fact that the Motorheadshop will have signed copies for sale.

Now I am all about Lemmy cutting a new track for a WWF compilation. But all these wild stories about how Lemmy should be involved in that overrated soap opera of large sweaty men, is ridiculous. I don't mind wrestling, not by any means. But I'm certainly not a wrestling fanatic, and I don't think Lemmy should degrade himself by parading around on American TV (the worst of ALL, I know, I'm an American!) with damned soap opera "wrestling".

The only thing that wrestling has going for it, in my opinion, is that they seem to be pro-Metal. And pro- REAL metal, not this black metal crap, or any of the other forms of garbage noise called "metal" these days.

Well, rant's over! :-)

I see that Lemmy collaborates on that new WWF thing "The Game" with Bruce Kulick. If you go to the official Grand Funk Railroad site, you will see that Bruce Kulick is now part of the "re-vamped" Grand Funk Railroad. I guess that Mark Farner left them again to sing the praises of Jesus Christ or whatever, and the two remaining original dudes in that band got three guys to replace him and one was Bruce Kulick. What a small world the rock world is.
Salutations to all,
Michael Mc Intyre

Ace: As far as I know, Bruce Kulick had nothing to do with the track. It was done with the assistance of BOB Kulick, his brother.

He left on his own. I met Wurzel in flesh and I have asked him why he left Motorhead, here is his answer (please note that english isn't my language and I may wrong a bit his sentence here):

"I was tired to be in Motorhead, I wanted to do something else in life, twelve years of rock n' roll life touring all around the world are more than enough".

Hi, Ace - I am happy to announce my engagement to a fellow Motorhead fan, Randall Blackledge (who once played with Molly Hatchet, among other gigs, and interviewed to play guitar with Ozzy at one time)! In regards to Mike McIntyre's description of using Motorhead in seduction, I would like to comment that Randy and I also find Motorhead very erotic. And we enjoy slow dancing to "Slow Dance" and other Motorhead songs (although, interestingly, we do not really slow dance, otherwise). We saw a FABULOUS concert in December: Dio, Doro and Yngwe! in St. Petersburg, Florida. I LOVE Doro, and I must say she sounds even better live, than she does on her latest album (it's too "processed," in my opinion - with a beautiful voice like that, who needs processing?!). Anyway, my fiance' and I absolutely love "Love Me Forever" which Lemmy sings with Doro. In fact, we enjoy singing it together! We are thinking of creating a band, but at this point in time, it is still just a fantasy.
Incidentally, I heard Lemmy's song in the background on WWF recently; I told Randy, and he was like, "Did they SAY it was Lemmy? Did they SHOW him singing? Then how did you know it was him?!" I was like, "Give me a break; NOBODY sounds like Lemmy! Of COURSE it was him, duh!!" We keep Motorhead in our prayers and we hope Lemmy is having a good recovery from his illness. Blessings to all of our fellow Motorheadbangers! -
Jamie
