Greetings Fellow Motorheadbangers!!

* The 25th Anniversary show - I am headed off for London tomorrow afternoon to attend the 25th Anniversary show. I hope to see some of you there!

Everyone that gets their order for the new OS2K shirt in by Nov 15/00 will be entered into a draw to win some cool prizes including:

* A set of strings from Phil Campbell's guitar that were stage played. Phil has also signed the string package.

* A triple vinyl copy of the new "Best of Motorhead" release that includes a bonus 7" single and a special cover by Joe Petagno.

The second annual offering of the official OVERNIGHT SENSATION MAILING LIST T-SHIRT is upon us! We have a killer new design for this years image that is made exclusively for members of the OS list. As many of you that bought last year's shirt realize, the OS shirts are a great way for OS members to find each other at shows. This year's shirt features artwork by long time OS member Paul Higgins. Paul is also the graphics wizard that created many of the images that grace the official Motorhead website.

The first edition of these shirts sold out quickly and have become one of the most desirable and rare Motorhead t-shirt collectable known! Don't miss out on this edition!!

To order one (or several as many of you did last time), please go to http://www.imotorhead.com/tshirt2000.htm

* Razor Magazine will be presenting a webcast of Motorhead and Nashville Pussy's show from the Hollywood Palace. This will debut at http://www.razormagazine.com on Oct 15. This is also the website that will broadcast the final Colt 40 Fienberg show. For those of you that listen to Howard Stern's radio show, you will know who Colt is... Very funny stuff!

* TOUR DATES! Get you Tour Dates!

If there are any Motorheadbangers out there that can get me a copy of any of the posters used to promote gigs in their town, I would be grateful. A special thanks to all of you that have done so already. Please contact me off of list to arrange shipment. I think it would be cool to do a section in the gallery of nothing but posters. I need your help, please let me know if you are up to it! Thanks!

Sorry Ace, I am an avid reader of O.S. thank you for all the info. I would pay $50 for the T- shirt, but pay pal is a pain to set up, I`m sure a lot of people have started the procedure and said " to hell with all this". The only reason I decided now to buy was of the contest. Thanks though!! By the way, where can I get a copy of "The Wolf"? Later Ace!

About the compilation the real question is: why? There are tons of 'em out already. Who should you put on the cover? No Lemmy means no Motrhead, that's a fact. He's the only member on all the tracks and so on.

**Ace: This is just my opinion, but I think it has to do a lot with the recent mergers of several labels under the Sanctuary Music banner. Now that Castle and CMC are part of the same company, I guess it was cool to combine elements from both catalogs under one compilation. Besides, how could they pass up a 25th Anniversary marketing angle.

Hi all,

I've just been asked to help out with an in-depth Motorhead TV interview, for a documentary being produced by Vanessa Warwick (ex-Headbangers Ball). The TV programme will be about the band's 25th anniversary celebrations that take place in London, 22nd October 2000.

I've been asked to round up some questions from fans. If anyone's got any interesting questions that they'd like the band to be asked in the documentary, please email them directly to me ASAP. Vanessa asks that the questions should obviously be about the past 25 years, how the band has kept going, highlights of their career etc.

Thanks in advance.

Ace, first off I'm a huge fan of the site and god bless you for keeping it going. But I have a question: What do you make of the quote from Overnite sensation #109 stating that Motorhead will be at the 7 November show at Biloxi Ms? Neither the official web site or Pollstar.com seem to know anything about Motorhead performing that night. imotorhead.com has the band playing Munster Germany that night, which is correct?

**Ace: The dates on the website are correct (straight from management). It looks like the Pantera thing was just a rumour.

Hi, Ace! I really enjoyed reading the latest issue of OS, as always.
Keep up the good work. Not only is it a great source of information, but also, I have met some cool people through OS, including some whom I met when they were visiting the U.S. O.k., now I have to tell you, all my Motorheadbanging friends in Europe: I AM JEALOUS!!! and here's why:
1. You guys apparently have WAY more heavy metal concerts in Europe, than we do here in the U.S. (especially in Florida, where I live). I heard about some concerts in the summer, you had Alice Cooper, the Bang Your Head Festival with Scorpions and Doro (two of my FAVORITE artists!), also Nashville Pussy, Spiritual Beggars, Slayer, Iron Maiden AND OF COURSE, MOTORHEAD! And soon, you will have the Hawkestra concert!!! I'm sure you will have fun meeting at the pubs, partying together with other metalheads, etc., etc. I wish I could be there too!
2. I was told that Motorhead often plays on Christmas over there?! What a nice Christmas present that would be!
3. I learned that you guys also have much more vacation time than we do - at least a month, as opposed to one week, so you can spend more time traveling around and attending metal concerts and partying!!!
4. It is my impression, at least from what I have seen, that European men are extremely handsome, polite and well educated. My sisters in Europe, you probably have no idea, how lucky you are...

I am envious of all the Motorhead shows that you are having over there across the ocean. But, then I read in the last issue that they will be touring with Pantera in the U.S. starting in November?! God, please say it is true!!! Any tour dates for Florida yet???

Well, enough ranting for now. Take care & keep on moshin'. - Jamie

Subject: os: my first motrhead experience

I can recall back in the mid-80s when Motrhead played the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium here in Southern California. I bought a pair of tickets and asked my buddy, Jake, if he'd like to go with me. He couldn't, but suggested that I invite his younger brother, Paul. I did and he quickly (and wisely) said "yes". Paul wasn't old enough to drink at the venue so I picked up some assorted bottles of booze and brought along a bag of magic mushrooms (kids, don't do drugs. haha). We hit the parking lot just as the opening act came on and heard remnants of their sounds as we drank and snacked.
Once their set ended, we immediately bolted for the door, forked over our tickets, drained ourselves in the bathroom and hit the stage. We were on the boards when the lights dimmed (after much struggling with many fine Motrhead fans).
The show was more than amazing, it was a true epiphany. I realized that night that Motrhead wasn't simply a band, but a religion; a way of life.
They blew the minds of every living soul in the house (and probably a few on the streets outside). The mushrooms were reaching their peak effectiveness when the stage turned green and Lemmy introduced himself to us as Orgasmatron. If I was with a woman I would've spewed right there from the mix of music, mind enhancement, and curvaceous femininity.
Now, a decade and a half later I am still a huge fan and my wife is understanding enough to know that when Motrhead is in town, I'll be gone for a night or two.
My two girls even sleep in Motrhead t-shirts sometimes and will wear Motrhead/Vans sneakers as soon as I can get my hands on them.
Thank you so much for providing this venue for us and for being the messenger of so much good news and information. You are very much appreciated.

Ryan Randall

p.s. -- I can't hold a candle to some of the fans out there. They can pat themselves on their backs for their devotion. They know who they are.

Mike, my friend,

You really must try to get a bit more sleep and drink a little less coffee. Seldom have I read such a foul-mouthed tirade about anyone and everything. Just be a little more positive and look at the good things in life like Motorhead, sex, fish and chips and Boddingtons beer. Then sit back relax and take a chill pill.

Enjoy the rest of your life

As for anyone looking for places to stay, I wouldn't recommend Brixton, Some parts may well be OK, but most of it is a bit 'interesting'

I just finally was able to obtain a copy of We Are Motorhead in Canada, and the liner notes tell me to email somebody about getting Motorhead on The Simpsons. It also told me to check your website about that.

I'd gladly send the email, but somebody's going to have to give me the address. I couldn't find much (read that as any) information about this on the site either, but since the album sent me to the site, I figured you might know something about this.

I went to the Motorhead show in Tokyo on 10/11/00. It was at this place called the Liquid Room in Shinjuku. It was on the 7th floor and no elevator. I was in the 4th or 5th row depending on what song was played, it was right in front of Lemmy about 10 feet away. When they started Lemmy came out and said "Konnichiwa, we are Motorhead and we are going to kick your ass," then the assault began. They played for about two hours. When they said does anyone know what our new album is and I screamed out "We are Motorhead" and Lemmy said, "yes, we are Motorhead is correct" and pointed at me. I even got a thumbs up from him after the last song. Mickey did a killer drum solo during sacrifice and Phil's guitar solo was excellent in killed by death. They were selling some new 25th anniversary shirts with the front the cover of the new best of motorhead, and the back had all the dates from Japan and the European tour. I know for sure the played the following songs, although they are not in the exact order (they may have played a couple more but I had quite a bit to drink that night):

We are Motorhead
I'm so bad baby I don't care
civil war
over your shoulder
Dead men tell no tales
god save the queen
going to brazil
iron fist
killed by death
ace of spades

I think they also play stagefright, I am not sure but they played another one off the WAM album. They also played some song I have never heard before, it sounded really bluesish and started with Lemmy just singing and playing the bass alone. If anyone knows this song if they play it on the European tour, please let me know as it was a killer song.
