Subject: os: new overnight sensation y2k shirts available for pre-order!

Greetings Fellow Motorheadbangers!!

* OS Y2K Shirts - The time has come again! The second annual offering of the official OVERNIGHT SENSATION MAILING LIST T-SHIRT is upon us! We have a killer new design for this years image that is made exclusively for members of the OS list. As many of you that bought last year's shirt realize, the OS shirts are a great way for OS members to find each other at shows. This year's shirt features artwork by long time OS member Paul Higgins. Paul is also the graphics wizard that created many of the images that grace the official Motorhead website.

The first edition of these shirts sold out quickly and have become one of the most desirable and rare Motorhead t-shirt collectable known! Don't miss out on this edition!!

To order one (or several as many of you did last time), please go to http://www.imotorhead.com/tshirt2000.htm

* Second Internet Tribute - I have been working on the layouts for the second tribute to Motorhead when I have little pockets of time. It is about 1/2 done and I hope to be able to post it in the very near future. Thanks for all of your patience on this front.

* Rainbow Bar & Grill - Paul and I headed down to the Rainbow Bar & Grill last evening to hangout and have some dinner. I was very pleased to be greated by a billboard sized ad for the new Motorhead album that was affixed to the side of the Rainbow! I can't think of a more appropriate place to hang this! I will try to head down there with a camera so that all of you can see it as well. For you locals, go and check it out!!

* Official Motorhead Tour Merchandise - Response to these materials has been wonderful! It is obvious that many of you are very excited about the availabilty of the Motorhead shirts and related items. Response has been so high that I actually ran out of a few items very quickly. The XL sizes of the Long Sleeve Motorhead England and the XL size of the Magister Dixit shirt are being reprinted as you read this and will ship out in about 7 days.

We have several styles including the classic "Motorhead England" shirts, Long Sleeves, current tour, hats, bandanas and much more!

They are available immediately... for details, check out the Motorheadshop on the official website: http://www.imotorhead.com

As a special thank you to OS members, if you order is post marked by August 15, 2000, I will include a really cool "Everything Louder Than Everyone Else" bumper stickers for FREE!!! Make sure that you include the following special code when placing your order to insure your free sticker.

Don't worry, if you have already placed an order, you will automatically get the sticker. They are available on the website now in the Motorheadshop. Let the frenzy begin!

I have also set things up with a new service called PayPal that allows me to take Visa and Mastercard payments for the merchandise available on the website. There is even a cool bonus for all of you if you decide to use this system... at this time, just for signing up to the PayPal service, you will get a $5 bonus when you create your account! There is no fees for using this service. Over the past couple of years, many of you have asked me to set things up so that you can use your credit cards to
purchase things off of the website... here is your solution. The PayPal server is secure, so you don't need to worry about that aspect of using your credit cards. To sign up for the PayPal service (remember, it's free), just go to:
https://secure.paypal.com/refer/pal=acetrump%40bigfoot.com. . At the moment, this service is only available in North America, however, the indicate on their website that other countries will be added soon.

* Razor Magazine will be presenting a webcast of Motorhead and Nashville Pussy's show from the Hollywood Palace. This will debut at http://www.razormagazine.com on Sept 1. This is also the website that will broadcast the final Colt 40 Fienberg show. For those of you that listen to Howard Stern's radio show, you will know who Colt is... Very funny stuff!

* House of Blues Pay-Per-View webcasts will be presenting Nasville Pussy airing on August 13. This show was recorded on the recent stomp across the country that Nasville Pussy did with Motorhead.

* Adam Sandler Movie - Comedian Adam Sandler is in the final production stages of his new movie, "Little Nicky". Reports I have been given make this a movie that Motorhead fans will want to catch... one of the main characters is apparently portrayed as a Motorhead fan.

* DORO PESCH IS BACK!: (press release) "Having been out of the US music spotlight for over a decade, German rock icon Doro Pesch has returned to show America what's been missing in the current state of hard rock! After captivating & enchanting the audience at this year's March Metal Meltdown in New Jersey, Doro is preparing to unleash a new album through KOCH Records (set for release on September 12th) that will re-position her name to true rock regality.

Although she has kept musically active in Europe over the years, this will be her first US release since 1990's self-titled release. Former vocalist for 80's Metal giants Warlock, Doro felt the need to break away from the 'sword & sorcery' stigma that surrounded the band and spread her wings to focus on a more emotional & personal sound. As a solo artist, she has in excess of eight releases to her credit and has achieved worldwide success. Now it is time for her to re-establish herself on American shores, and in order to achieve this goal, she is prepared to release a very memorable album.

Not a woman to pull any punches, Doro enlisted the assistance of some very noteworthy musicians to compose this magnum opus! She recently teamed up with Motorhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister in Los Angeles to re-record the Motorhead track,"Love Me Forever" in pure, emotive Doro fashion. The song originally appeared on Motorhead's album '1916'. This collaboration also spawned a new track, another duet called "Alone Again". Both songs will appear on her new album, which is now titled 'Calling The Wild'.

If your palate is not yet whet with anticipation, the release also features contributions from Slash (Snakepit, ex-Guns 'N Roses) and Al Pitrelli (Megadeth, ex-Savatage, ex-Asia, etc.). If that wasn't enough to make a mammoth of an album, the proverbial icing on the cake, however, is an amazing Doro-ized cover version of the Billy Idol classic "White Wedding". Guest appearances coupled with Doro's trademark rock ethic of 'stunning beauty meets aggressive beast' will make this an album not to miss!"

* TOUR DATES! Get you Tour Dates!

If there are any Motorheadbangers out there that can get me a copy of any of the posters used to promote gigs in their town, I would be grateful. Please contact me off of list to arrange shipment. I think it would be cool to do a section in the gallery of nothing but posters. I need your help, please let me know if you are up to it! Thanks!

I was reading the Globe and Mail this morning to help ensure I get my fill of corporate who bought who, who sold who, blah blah blah bullshit, when I came across the front page of the entertainment section and who should greet me but Lemmy himself, loud and proud taking up 1/4 of the front page. With the photo was a pretty good article which spoke of Motorhead (of course) and a plethora of other less important bands, and of how hard rock has never gone away and never would. I was very happy to see that the Globe and Mail, Canada's foremost business newspaper had elected to grace the paper with Lemmy's image.

Relating to the lack of Italian dates on the Collector's Guide, I spent gleeful hours of mindnumbing research going through various bootleg lists, tour notices and thirteen years of MHB World Magazine. Perhaps the work of a madman as I've been told! Almost 1500 dates I've found but the list is of course not complete, I think more than 200 concerts have been missed. I ask your help Motorhead fanatics all over the world, correct the list if you are sure of a mistake and add some more dates if you can! Write to nuraxi@yahoo.com with the subject "past tour dates", let me know the venues if known, please.

I just don't get the venom some display toward Philip Campbell - sure Eddie was great, but so is Campbell. For Christ's sake, Campbell has made some of the best music the world has ever heard and I, for one, love his guitar work. Eddie's stuff was wonderful too - it ain't an "either or" type thing people - they both kick ass and I am grateful for both of their contributions to Motorhead.

I am inflicted regularly with the puerile, the inane and the pointless. My TV and my newspapers are brimming with it, yet it is the point of view of Jim Robinson, self styled ex-MHB 150 that has stirred my ire. I cannot believe that there are still people who consider the Eddie Clarke arguments as still valid, Phil Campbell has been with the band now for, what, fifteen years or so, three times longer than Fast Eddie. I don't know Lemmy, a pity as innovators are usually exciting and invigorating personalities, but I am sure that the suggestion that they don't play 'Step Down' as they do not have the nerve would be met with a belly laugh. It was recorded many years ago, back when the Berlin Wall was still up and The Cold War still in the news, and is simply a track on an album, like I'll Be Your Sister, et alia. There have been over 150 new songs since then, this is 2000 and its time that Rip Van Robinson shook off the shackles of his outdated prejudices and woke up to the fact that Lemmy in 1979 is the same as Lemmy in 2000 and will be the same until he dies, an original, an innovator, a non-trendy trendsetter and as such, like Mozart and Van Goch will not be recognised. Motorhead are a very fine, very potent force in the rock world and should be supported wherever possible and Phil and Mickey Dee are a part of that. Fast Eddie chose to leave and whether he regrets it or not now, he went and we now have Motorhead with no Eddie (and, to inflict mt opinion, MH now are ten times as good as MH then). So a song from 2000 sounds like a song from 1980, well I don't know what your job is Ace but personally I did the same thing last Friday as I did Thursday, Wednesday. If I stayed original and repeated myself on a 20 year cycle I would be very happy. OK, enough tirade, Ex MHB 150 should come clean and admit that he is a 30 something and get shoping for Shania Twain and Alanis Morisette and simply say that he no longer likes Motorhead. As an addendum, I saw Mh in 1979 too, I have seen them 27 times and I am Ex MHB 99

I was very sorry to read one ex-MHB's anti-Phil Campbell sentiments. I, too, was sorry when Fast Eddie left, especially after seeing how awesome the Lemmy/Eddie/Philthy lineup was on the 1981 U.S. Tour Of The Colonies w/Blizzard Of Ozz. I thought they blew away Ozzy! But if all it took was a one-off 7" single by Lemmy & the late Wendy O Williams to piss Eddie off, it was prob'ly only a matter of time for the crybaby to leave in a snit. Don't get we wrong. I liked Eddie's playing, as did I Robbo's (Another Perfect Day is still the most overlooked & underrated album!), Wurzel's, & Phil's. I don't agree he's a thrash metal guitarist. These days, only one or two songs per Motorhead album are even thrash-paced. Even if he was, is that so bad?! I think he's more blues-based, as were his predecessors. Hey, good enough for Lemmy? Good enough for me! 'Nuff said...

The swastika is actually a yantra. This is an ancient kind of spell which, when written down, has an effect. There are many different yantras and they can still be seen in use over India. I know, I have seen. I have been to ancient Indian temples and seen swastikas in them. You will often see them at Hindu weddings, even in the west.

The swastika was originally a peace yantra. It was taken by the Nazis, turned on its side and reversed, having the opposite effect. It was no co-incidence the Nazis did this, and probably helped them during the war.

Hi Ace!

- Aeon000000@aol.com asked about the B-side "Dead man's hand": this is the B-side of the "The one to sing the blues" maxi single, which also contains "Eagle rock" as a second B-side and "Shut you down" from the "1916" album. "Waltz of the vampire" was the original title of the song "Dance" from the "Ace of spades" album. I found this song (with this title) on a bootleg LP called "Dirty love" released by Receiver Records (UK) in 1989. I think this album is just a rehearsal tape from the "Ace of spades" recording sessions put on vinyl (I don't know for sure if it's also released on CD but I think it was), since a lot of the songs appear on the "Ace of spades" album. You can also hear it by the not so brilliant sound and some remarks you can hear Lemmy make in the studio. Really funny! This is the tracklist:
1. Hump on your back
2. Shoot you in the back
3. Dirty love
4. Love me like a reptile
5. Fast and loose
6. Waltz of the vampire (which is "Dance" but in a longer version)
7. Ace of spades (alternative version)
8. Bastard
9. Godzilla Akimbo
10. The road crew

Subject: os: apologies to russia in general and mike lemster

Date: Mon, 24 Jul 2000 13:48:42
First of I wanna apologise to Mike Lemster (and any other Russian) that I might have offended with my (ment to be) philosophical comments about TV, radio and the Internet in your country. I didnt mean to diss Russia. But since Artym (in his many postings) keeps mentioning Russia as his homecountry I wanted to=make an argument that was relateble to him. Maybe that wasnt such a good idea. Swedish TV do show Russia like that=(bears walking around, people drinking vodka all day) far to much. I know the state-television of other countries do so too so I guess your pretty feed up with it. Im smart enough to know that Russia is no more a third world country than Sweden is. So I do apologise for making bad and unclear argumentation. The point I was trying to make was that new forms of electronic democracy can be tried out without waiting for everyone to have the means to participate. If the new methods are good and working according to plan they will spread because people will sign up voluntarily, and methods will be found for "everyone else" to have the ability if they should so desire.

And if=Mike hadnt gone so anal in his comments on my IQ this letter would have been finished here.=Now I have to continue, taking up on some of his words of wisdom:

>"Man, if you're 'pretty sure', that doesn't mean you know the things. If
>you're not sure totally, don't write then. Don't show your stupidity."

There are people here in Sweden too that for different reasons do not have access to TV, radio or the internet. Im very sure that is the case with every single country on the face of the earth. My country may be thought of as pretty rich and having a high standard on its welfare, but we are not immune to poverty so theres even people that do not=get enought food. I dont know how many but even if its just one thats one too much. I cant possibly know the procentage or numbers in Russia right? Can you? Can anyone? I dont think so and thats half the reason why I wrote that I am "pretty sure".

The other half? Well... a swedish writer once wrote (I translate from memory) "To be totally sure, or to find an absolute ideology, is simply nothing more than at some point giving up on thinking further". Claiming to be to totally sure is for children, fools and politicians. I dont think Im "showing my stupidity" when I use the words "pretty sure".

>"Maybe, you should spend some time and learn to write intelligible
>english instead of writing such a big letter, eh?"

Thats what Im trying to do! Improve my non-native english by taking part in real debates like this one. I know my letters tend to be a little to long, and I realise I have to work on that, but I rather have it that way than insult other debate-participants with remarks like "defecated in your pants".

Stay out of Yale!

Hello Ace!!
Great job on the website and newsletter. As for this Jim Robertson wanker, Phil Campbell is one of the most intense guitarists have ever seen. I've been an MHB for a long time and the band gets better every time I hear them. Fast Eddie was a great sounding musician in the seventies, but its 2000 and Phil is kicking ass and taking names! I play a very poor guitar and I can easily pick up Eddies riffs. I've played giutar with Phil (because he's cool enough to hang out with his fans) and there is no way I could hope to keep up with him. Some of Eddie's riffs are classic, like the AOS, orStone Deaf Forever, but Phil is by far a more versatile and more intense player. Besides, Lemmy who saw Jimi Hendrix play up close, say this is the best lineup he's ever played with. And who would know better? Thanks for the spasce Ace keep up the good work.

Hello all.

A few days ago I got an interesting album, is called "Motorhead: Double Header", it has two complete albums in one CD, it is very interesting. It has the first Motorhead 1977 album from Chiswick Records, and the other is a live recording at the Roundhouse from a label called Bigbeat Records released in 1978. This compilation made it in 1992 a company from Canada called ATTIC Productions Ltd. A very interesting disc.

Subject: re: overnight sensation issue #105

someone had written in to OS wanting to know about the Philly show being canceled...well, as a friend of the band who often travels a lot to see them, here is a little info on the situation..... first of all, the sound system they had there at the club simply could not handle the bands equipment. there was no way that they could play on the system that was provided to them. they even offered to wait while another system was brought in from another place in Philly, but the club was NOT willing to do this for them. They have had other problems in the past with the people who run that place, so it was not a surprise that this all happened. seconly, they wanted to go out and talk to the fans who were gathered in front, waiting to get in, but the police, who had set up a baracade, would NOT let them do this. They ordered them to get on their bus and get the hell out of there before there was a riot. even though the guys going out in front, signing autographs, talking to the crowd and explaining the situation would have been a lot cooler than just leaving, they would not allow them to do that. They even thought about coming up with a place where they would go hang out and invite everyone to come party with them, but they never got a chance to even make the suggestion...the cops were being complete dicks about it. So they had to get back on the bus and they headed on to Washington. I like to think that anyone who was a real fan of theirs, and care about their safety and feel respect towards them, would not have "rioted" in any way. I know you drove 100 miles and everything, but there were people who came a lot further than that. A friend of mine drove from kansas city to see them. I myself drove 3 hrs to chicago, then flew 700 milesto Philly, got stuck at the Philly airport for 25 hrs straight!!! and had to drive another 3hrs from chicago to get home!! and I was never mad at the guys in the band because I know how much they care about their fans, and how much they love to play, if they could have...they would have.

It took me a while to get used to the new album but there's a question. When was this written?I mean I hear really old "sounding"stuff here. The title track,I swear I hear Phil Taylor on drums at times.

I'm glad its out ,too bad Icouldn't get it at a store though. All in all its o.k.I prefer the live stuff. The last live album was the best so far.Mikkey Dee is awsome(I play too).Wish I could afford such quality gear.
Have a good one eh.

Subject: os: tourdates complaints: what's the fuck, guys?!..

Hello to everybody!

Some time ago I noticed that past tourdates disappeared from OS List, and I never knew why. But now I got an information that some of the OS subscribers are complaining to Ace about tourdates lists - whether see, it's too hard for them to push the PC mouce and scroll down the letter. WHAT'S THE FUCK, GUYS?! Why you are doing this with us, the REAL Motorhead fans who are interested in everything concerning Motorhead, and past tourdates are of very big interest for Motorhead maniacs that really care about the band and try to get any possible information about Lemmy and guys?! I am sure that lots of subscribers use the mighty OS List as an source of exclusive information that is possible to find only there and nowhere else, and I can't think of something more exclusive than archive of past tour dates!!!! I WANT TO READ IT!!! I WANT TO KNOW MORE ABOUT BAND ACTIVITY IN THE PAST!!!! AND I DON'T FUCKING CARE ABOUT THOSE LAZY BASTARDS WHO MADE ACE TO PUT PAST TOURDATES SERVICE OFF THE LIST!!! KISS MY ASS, WEAK IDIOTS!!! If it's too hard for you to read them(or simply ignore them and read some other posts on the List) - you don't worth to be called Motorhead fans, go off and join! some Backstreet Boys mailing list, I can guarantee there will be no past tourdates of Motorhead! Don't be complaining about all this shit, Stefano, you did an great amount of job seeking for all these dates, and if some idiots don't understand it, well, it's their problem, but I am sure there are lots of REAL Motorhead fans who will agree with me - WE NEED PAST TOUR DATES SERVICE!!! If there is somebody who agree with me - COME ON GUYS, DROP A COUPLE OF LINES TO OS LIST, LETS SHOW THOSE BASTARDS THAT THERE ARE MUCH MORE OF US WHO REALLY CARE!

Importance: high
I just want to thank those stupid and one track minded persons who force Ace to censor the Past tour dates section. Me and some people were helping Stefano Loi (Hi ! guy) to compil the most complete list of past tour dates in order to put it on OS, but some jerks are complaining for seeing this list on OS. Are you mad ??? Off course, nobody complained directly to Stefano ...

What do you want to talk about ?? the colour of Lemmy's socks ? Who has the best guitar color : Eddie or Wurzel ? Who's the most sexy in Motorhead ? etc, etc, etc ...

I see some really stupid things on OS but I never ask Ace to censor something !! Why don't you use the "Forward" button in order to pass over uninteresting things on OS ??

If somebody would complaint for the past tour dates list and has the balls to tell it directly to me, you can reach me at : denervaudt@romande-energie.ch

Alot of people are saying that some of Motorheads newer songs sound like older songs. WHO CARES! If you love Motorhead, it shouldnt matter. You love the music whatever it sounds like. Other bands do the same thing. I still get a few KISS songs mixed up. Ramones too. Am I complaining.....HELL NO! I love music. If a few songs sound the same, so be it.
Just my 2 cents worth. Keep on rocking.......

Subject: os: god save... different version! - entombed + lemmy

I found a different version of the new video "God Save The Queen", it's in a CD called Psychosonic! given with the issue of July of Psycho!, which is a monthly music magazine here in Italy. There are more shots of the Queen on the bus and of the crowd during the concert in the small club, also the take of the concert isn't the same of the original. Nevertheless, no girls on stage - sorry, Sarmad. :-) By the way, who's the blonde girl downstage? Wow! This CD is billed as a promo but definitely nice to collect.

Another surprise is the new video by Entombed "Seeing Red", the singer is wearing a t-shirt with an ace of spades on (but I can't read what is written on), and yes, it's him again, Motorhead's deus ex machina Lemmy Kilmister, with his cowboy hat on saying something for the last seconds of the video!

Subject: os: new video - old idea

The new video *God Save The QueenL shows the band getting around in London on the top of a red London doubledecker bus, playing the song. The idea of doing this isn-t that new. STATUS QUO did it back in 1983 I guess.
For all you americans: SQ is a boogie-type bristish rock-n-roll band, just as Lemmy *older than the Rolling StonesL(as he sang). I guess they started around 1967 playing this boogie-rock, and they are still on the road today, and they are still making records, and they are really kicking ass live on stage (not on records). They never made it in the US/Canada, but are still great in Britain and Europe. I once read an interview with Lemmy (it was around 1986), where he was forced to listen to songs and to say something about it (most of them trash, anyway). But there was this song from StatusQuo *Rollin- HomeL, and I remember he said something like *great song, pure rocknroll, I love this rhythm guitar from Francis Rossi, that-s how a guitar must be played, I like this band very muchL. Lemmy always loved this boogie-rocknroll-type music, he even did some songs in this direction with Motorhead.

It-s funny to see how this new video plays with an old Status Quo idea. They have this video from a song called *The WandererL (1983), a cover of an old rock-n-roll-standard. It shows the band on a red London doubledecker, playing their song, having fun, just like Motorhead do it! I wonder if the director, Vanessa Warwick, ever saw this old SQ-video...

PS: another Motorhead-T-shirt-sighting: bristish stoner-rock band ORANGE GOBLIN are inspired by Lemmy (especially from OVERKILL). One of them is wearing a traditional Motorhead-England-shirt on a picture in the last edition of the german Rolling-Stone-Magazine.

Dear fellow Motorheadbangers,

I found this piece of news at the MetalDreams site:

"French label AXE-KILLER RECORDS has reissued KING KOBRA's Thrill Of A Lifetime and ICON's sophomore album, Night Of The Crime, in a limited, numbered format. Both releases are complete with band photos and lyrics. The label has also just released Killers On The Loose Again - A Tribute To Thin Lizzy, with performances by Phil Campbell (Motorhead), Paul Di'anno (Di'anno, ex-Iron Maiden, ex-Killers, ex-Battlezone), Gary Barden (ex-MSG), Steve Grimmett (Grim Reaper, Lionsheart) and more. Visit the Axe-Killer website at: http://www.musicentury.com"

I don't think I've heard of this before.

also, where can i find "treat me nice"?

On "Stone Dead Forever" CD. This CD contains old demo recording of 1979, very interesting for all diehard fans!

> one last question: does anyone know of any songs that were on
> compilationsor soundtracks or that are rare or were b-sides and
> not on remasters?

so far, i know of "Hell on Earth" off Hellraiser III soundtrack, which iown.i also know of "Dead Man's Hand", but i'm not sure which single this was a b-side of?

It was a b-side of 'The One To Sing The Blues' (this single featured also rare track 'Eagle Rock') and 'Hellraiser' singles.

anyone know of any more songs?

In last 5 years there were some interesting songs issued on various bootlegs: 'Black Leather Jacket', 'Good Golly Miss Molly', 'Silver Machine'. Also there was 'Ace Of Spades' dance remix (cat#. CD WGAF 101), Born To Raise Hell feat. Ice T and Whitfield Crane (cat#. )

> I've seen a cd called "StoneDeaf
> Forever" that had some songs like "Waltz of the Vampire"..anyone
> know anything about this song or cd?

'Waltz' is featured not on 'Stone Dead Forever' but on 'Dirty Love' CD - another release from Fast Eddie archives. 'Waltz' is a demo version of 'Dance'. This two CDs feature some other unreleased songs as well as rare versions of songs from the albums, and this recordings were taken from the sound board at Motorhead rehearsals in 1979-1980.

There has been quite a bit said recently about the bonus live tracks (Steal Your Face and On The Road) on the remastered Orgasmatron CD. Well I bought Orgasmatron on cassette about 10 years ago and these tracks are on it.
Until recently I just thought that they were part of the album.

Hi Ace and all of you all over the World!

My name's Baz and I play in a band called Autonomicus, based in Bristol, England. I've just joined Overnight Sensation and I'd like to say how glad I am that I found you! I have been a Motorhead fan since about '79/'80 when I first heared Overkill at school at the age of 14 - a life-changing experience. Bomber was the first album I ever bought with my own money! To go and see 'em live on the 'Spades tour It cost me the princely sum of 3.50 - first gig I EVER went to - another life-changing experience. Motorhead are one of the=things that made me want to be in a band myself. =I've got into a million different bands and styles of music since but nothing else has the staying-power/resilience/whatever of= Motorhead, my first=and last favourite band (apart from my own, but that's different). Last Sunday (July 30) I had the absolute pleasure of seeing them for the 8th time at The Xtreme World festival at Singleton Park, Swansea in Wales. It was so good I can't talk about it!

I noticed that there are some other long=standing Motorheadbangers on the mail list. It got me wondering if we could maybe find the person with the earliest memories of their MH experience!= Chris Sage, you beat me to it by a few months, 1979, but respect to Dr. Flye! You saw them on the Overkill tour! Incidentally that drum kit with the shark-mouth bass drum heads that you mentioned got raffled off to members of the original Motorheadbangers club so someone out there has still got it I guess. Anyone know who?

I'd like to say "well done" to David Hultgren for giving respect to Alan Burridge. That man is a part of Motorhead culture, especially here in the UK. He ran the M'headbangers for years, after Helen Taylor (sister of Philthy Animal) gave it up, as well as writing countless zines and books on the band. Massive respect to Old Burridge.

A quick reply to the people who reported Lemmy storming out of a TV studio: He appeared on a celebrity music quizz show called 'Never Mind The Buzzcocks' hosted by stand-up comic Mark Lamaar. Mark Lamaar rubbed him up the wrong way from the start by making disparaging jokes about some famous woman singer. Lemmy had a go athim for it, lit up a cigarette and refused to be part of the show. I guess this is all a part of the same story. Lemmy did however appear on the show again, this time being the absolute life and soul of the program. He'd obviously madepeace with Mark Lamaar but at one point took out a Marlboro and put it in hismouth without lighting it. Lamaar shouted "You are NOT allowed to smoke on this show!" to which Lemmy replied calmly and matter-of- factly "Oh, I'm not smoking." Like I said, he hadn't lit it! The 'icing on the cake' for the show was Lemmy being presented with a gold disk by another=celebrity guest. This boy-band had a single which I think was called 'Speed' or had speed in the title and it went gold. The kid gave Lemmy his gold disk and said something like "I want you to have this 'cos you are the King of Speed!"=Lemmy was visibly moved. Right now I could babble on about Motorheadness for hours/days/ months but I'd bore you all. One final thing though: Although my band is nothing like Motorhead I'd like to invite you all to have a listen to some of our stuff so check out Vitaminic.com

About the show , the boys were in rare form. they started out with "we are motorhead". also played god save the queen, stay out of jail, from new album. all in all the show was very loud, my ears rang for 4 days after show. was glad to see they had alot of stuff to sell at show. also glad to see you have added alot new cool things. hope everyone has a chance to see a show this year. I thought i would put my vote in for the boys to be on the simpsons. what could be better, the badest band in the world motorhead, with the best cartoon on tv. thanks ace keep up good work... tommy
