Well, well... it seems that we are now screaming in on 300 members to this mailing
list!!! Again, thanks to all of you for your support and letters of encouragement.
This truly is a labor of love.
I will be mailing out all of the Castle Records sampler cassettes this week. So, for
all of you that sent in for them, please be patient...
I have been kicking around another idea at the base of my skull for a few weeks and I
think it is time to share it with all of you and get some opinions.
I have noticed that there seems to be a considerable number of musicians amongst the ranks
of OS members. It is of little doubt that Motorhead is one of the most influential
bands in the history of rock and roll. If bands like Kiss can have at least a dozen
different tribute records released honoring their influence... surely Motorhead deserves
one. Wand, who better to give them that honor then us?
Here is what I propose... Any of you out there that are part of a band that loves to play
Motorhead tunes, how would you like to contribute a song? We could compile these
into a full album. It would primarily be for OS members but we might sell it outside
of the confines of OS to offset the production costs.
I am not a musician, but I am an expert in page layout, etc. I would volunteer my
services to this project in that capacity (as well as organizer). This would have to
be strictly non-profit. We could ask Lemmy to pick his favorite charity and donate
any profits to that.
What do you all think? If there is enough interest... we should do it! Let me know!!

Subject: OS: Upcoming US releases
It looks like from http://www.musicblvd.com that us American-ers will finally be seeing
a re-release of ORGASMATRON & ROCK AND ROLL, but on a different label from the UK (Castle) whose version is remastered
and with bonus cuts, like the earlier re-releases Castle US did before going belly-up. Will these versions be one in
the same, I wonder? And what of this new thing, "King Biscuit Flower Hour Prese"? What the hell is this?
A live show of recent years, perhaps? My palms sweat at just the thought.....

I to this day have not seen Motorhead but it's not like I hav'nt tried. Had tix to see
them in 82 in Philly and that's when fast Eddie quit the band.Next,I had tix in 95 to see
them with Sabbath and they changed venues and played the night before without anyone
knowing, and this year with Wasp in Philly and they cancelled the Fucking gig! But hey,
I'll see them someday.

Last digest there was a letter from a biker who had trouble getting through Singerman
Entertainment to get a gig for his bike club.
Here's a story that's similar. I've been a loyal Motorhead supporter since way back
(I got Another Perfect Day when it was a new release, and I live in Canada where we don't
get much for imports).
I've always wanted to join the fanclub, but I've never figured out how to write to
England. Finally, when Bastards came out, there was a 1-800 number for me to use.
I dialed it many times, having a lot of trouble, but finally got through two
different times. I gave my address (and the second time gave my friend's address),
but I never received anything further.
I'd love to join a Motorheadbangers Club, but I don't understand why Singerman sets up a
1-800 number if he's not going to follow through on the calls received. What gives?

** Editor: FYI... Singerman Entertainment does not actually run the Moterheadbangers
Fanclub. They endorse it and help everyway they can (hence the 800 number).
But, once the leads and requests are out of their hands, they have little control.

There's a poster web sight where you can get a bunch (not a lot) of slightly cool metal
posters. Included in this are the posters for March or Die and Bastards, which are both
damn cool, the latter being the coolest. Other cool bands they've got include: Manowar
(2), Megadeth (2), Metallica (an asston of 'em)... and that's about it. Rather sad, when
you get right down to it.

Gaucho from Hell missed the best Lemmy flick! EAT THE RICH! this is a vehicle from the lemmitudinous delivery of the ol'
bugger himself in one of the greatest movies ever made. Lemmy sure can act (when you can decipher what he's saying) and the
film itself is great. how many movies do you know of that are so unself-concious (self-unconcious?) that they'll have someone
just spontainiously go up on stage in a high class restaurant and start belting out "Dr. Rock"? how many movies
have a modern day arrow-massacre? well, this is the only one of know of that has both. i heard me a rumor that Lemmy was
to be narrating an animated "Romeo & Juliet" parody. anybody else hear similar things?

** Editor: Hi Dave! YES YES YES! We would love to have materials for the web
page. You see, Lemmy is not exactly a sentimental guy when it comes to Motorhead
memorabilia. His personal colleciton is very poor!! (Believe it or not).
Anything that anyone want to send that they think would enhance the homepage can send it

I belong to a Motor Cycle Club called the "Buzzards." We are the largest
club in Scotland and have been going for 16 years. We have a Bike Rally every year
around the first week-end in May. Our rally is one of the largest non commercial
rally's in Scotland attracting 650 - 1,000 people. We have four bands come and play over
the space of the week-end. We generally hire fairly well known groups from England
and Scotland. Over the years this has proved to be very successful and everybody
seems to think that this makes the rally even more worthwhile travelling too. People come
from all parts of the UK as well as Germany, Amsterdam and other parts of Europe.
Next year we are holding our 10th Anniversary Rally which will be the biggest rally yet.
We held an Annual General Meeting at the beginning of March in order to discuss our
plans for the Anniversary next year. It was decided that instead of giving the
people who attend the same old momento's such as Mugs, Badges, T-shirts etc. that we
would try and get a 'big' band to come and play at the rally. I suggested that
Motorhead would be the ideal band for this event. We plan on 'splashing out' on a
band, hopefully Motorhead if they were available. It may seem a very silly idea
writing to ask if a band such as big as Motorhead are to come and play at an event such as
ours. I am hoping that it is worth a try any way.
I wrote to Mr Burridge to try and find out the name and address of Motorhead's tour
management. Mr Burridge was unable to help me and put me on to you. If it is
in any way possible to help me find out who to get in touch with and where, there would be
a great many people very grateful for your help including myself.
I have actually met Lemmy and Wurzel at a special concert they did in Southampton a few
years ago. Nicest blokes I could wish to meet.
I very much look forward to hearing from you soon.
Yours faithfully
Vaughan James

Ace,
I see on CD Now that Motorhead has a new cd coming out called KING BISCUIT FLOWER HOUR
PRESE. What the hell kind of a name is that?! Do you know anything about the
album? (Do you think Blackie Lawless will be buying a
copy?!)
Also, I see that there are a couple of different editions of ON PATROLE available. I
have the one on Roadrunner . . . the music is great, but let's be honest, the sound
quality is shit. Do you know if Cleopatra's or EMI Gold's copies sound any better?

Hi Ace,
Well, you keep telling people to post messages so I thought it was about time I did. I've
been a Motorheadbanger for almost three years now, and have increased my MotorCD
collection to 13( pretty good considering it's hard to find their music anywhere). The
first Motorhead album I heard was "1916". "Overnight Sensation" is one
of my favorite albums ( second only to "Bastards"). Anyway, about a year ago I
heard some rumor that a Motorhead tribute album was being arranged. Is there any truth to
this?
Thanks for putting this thing together. If everybody listened to Motorhead, the world
would be a better place!

**Editor: I have not heard of such a project, but it would make sense. I will
check into it and let you all know.
